We traveled to Nashville with friends who were married at the Belmont Mansion. It was a wondeful venue and everyone was very pleased with the staff!

The woman of the house was an amazing character! This is not to be missed. The guides are very good and give you a wonderful feel of what life was like at the time. Today, it's the setting for many local weddings.

It was a lenghty tour-over an hour long. We were shown all of the upstairs rooms as well as the main floor. Many historic homes I have toured only allow a tour of the main floor. Our guide was very professional and informative and always allowed for questions before leaving each room. The mansion is an integral part of the University campus which is likewise beautifully maintained and open to the public to stroll it's lovely grounds. The home also has a very nice gift shop with a good assortment of reasonably priced items.

The tour guides knew a great deal of information about the family who built and lived in this house, and the lady of the house must have been an interesting and forceful personality. They have done a wonderful job recreating the period look, gathering antiques from far and wide to give it an authentic look. It can be a very personalized tour, since they will take even one single visitor through the house, since attendance seems to vary at this out-of-the-way house. Be sure to ask for the $1 off 'mention their website' discount, and ask to have your parking validated.

Very well preserved house, tour guide was very interesting and knew here subject. Did not like the fact we could not take photos, most places allow you to take them without flash.
