They have several things here all out thru the summer, plus it is just a peaceful place to sit & feed the ducks, have a picnic on the grounds, go for a stroll.

The Centennial Park is a nice park area in Nashville where you can get your exercise in while in town. They hold events there with bands etc that get some nice crowds. The huge copy of the Parthenon in Greece is at one end of the park. Lay out on the grass and you might just imagine you're in Athens.

Nice place to visit but watch your step!! Sidewalks are very uneven due to tree roots pushing up sections of sidewalk. When you are site seeing you shouldn't have to watch every step you take on a public sidewalk.

It was a perfect time to visit the Park (during the Titans football game!), we found it beautiful and peaceful. The Fall colors made everything especially pretty. We loved reading the history carved in granite, 'walking' on the state and all it's counties, seeing the Capitol high on the hill, the historical Arch, flags, & the bubbling fountain. It's a very serene place and shouldn't be missed while in Nashville. Parking was easy and the price is right - free!

I wanted to walk and get some exercise before driving back home from Nashville. This park is attractive, with plenty of parking, room to walk and a few other things to do if you are in the mood. I have walked here on more than one visit to Nashville. Very nice gardens and duck pond.
