This property just completed a renovation and it is the nicest Courtyard I have been to so far and I have been to TONS of Courtyards around the country.
They have a small restaurant and serve Starbucks products.
The staff is very helpful.
There is a charge for parking, but it's in a city so that is to be expected. There are no safes in the room, so that is a negative.
The location offers lots of nearby restaurants and bars. They also have a free shuttle. I would definitely return the next time I am in town.

Stayed two nights May '13 while apartment hunting for my daughter. The hotel is extremely convenient to Vanderbilt and the Medical Center; closer to the downtown end of campus. Several restaurants and convenience stores within a short walk. Self and valet parking for a fee right next door to the hotel, but stop outside the main entrance to register before going to the garage as you will need a room key for garage and hotel entry.

The hotel is what you would expect from a Marriott property. Clean, up-to-date, efficiently run. Rooms are large enough but not spacious. The Bistro is extremely convenient for an early morning Starbucks and quick breakfast. Decent dinner and alcohol service after 4 p.m. Pool available but we did not use it. Nice little outdoor courtyard area for drinks and conversation.

Good reliable lodging in the West End.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Your information on the parking registration will be extremely beneficial to other guests. Our hotel is made up of two connected towers, with our garage parking being on the first four floors of Tower II. For the safety of our guests it is imperative to check in at the front desk in order to be issued a key prior to entering the garage. I am sorry you did not get the opportunity to spend time in our elevated outdoor pool as it is quite private and refreshing. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We are only 6 blocks from the Country Music Marathon start and I wish I had control over the weather this year as it was a bit wet for the marathon this year. We look forward to seeing you back next year.

We stayed here one night and received great service from valets and front desk! The rooms were a bit small and there was very little counter space in bath...I mean TINY! Location is ok, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Parking was expensive! We stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road after this stay and I preferred that location and the FREE parking. If I had to do it over again, I would choose the Holiday Inn right next door to the Vanderbilt sports facilities.

Just returned from a girls weekend in Nashville. Our first time to the city for all of us. We were very happy with our hotel selection. The staff gave us some of our favorite places to eat as recommendations [The Row - we went 3 times! and Whiskey Kitchen], and the complimentary shuttle during the day got us to many of the downtown Nashville attractions. We really liked staying in the West End for a little more character, and more original choice of where to eat vs downtown. The rooms have recently undergone a renovation. All very nice with a modern touch to them. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

I am a loyal Marriott customer, have been for over 15 years. However I was very disappointed in the customer service upon check in. After flying all day from CA I pulled in to the parking structure, parked and tried to enter the premises. All the doors required key for entry so I had to walk to the street around the building and j to the entrance. Not a gigantic inconvenience but one nonetheless. When I was greeted I offered a suggestion for improvement via making it visible upon entering the lot you would have to walk down to street level to enter. The front desk lady was quickly defensive and said there is signage and people know. That is not true as I took a photo of entrance and it does not state that. Only says check in with Valet. Her attitude was not appreciated I believe her counterpart recognized she was coming at this wrong and chimed in by saying she would have designed the property differently. Bad start to stay should not have happened based on a very simple suggestion for improvement. I will have to take my business elsewhere in Nashville next time.

We loved this hotel - from the parking (totally easy to find, not sure why there's confusion from other reviewers, and cheap!), to the check in (super quick and very friendly), to the room (comfortable beds, lots of pillows, immaculately clean, smart layout with the sink separate from the rest of the bathroom). We found it an easy walk to the main bar area - maybe a 20 minute walk that felt safe the entire time. We'll stay here again on our next trip.

Room Tip: If you've got a couple of folks getting ready at the same time, ask for a room with the sink are...
