“AMAZING!!!!!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

WOW is all I can say! If you can stay more than a couple of days you need to. It takes a day just to find your way through the acres of amazing and beautiful gardens, sitting areas, and the pool. It is like a dream. The beauty of this place is stunning. The sculpture in the main lobby is breathtaking and that is just the beginning of your journey through this paradise. I hope that I can return one day and spend more time here. My room was beautiful with every attention to detail that will exceed your expectations. The food is fabulous in every venue and the prices were reasonable. The shops were clean and again I thought they were reasonable. The staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered. I know this all sounds too good to be true, however, it is just wonderful to be in a place where everyone seem so happy that you are there.
I cannot wait to go back!!! It is a place that you would never want to leave.

First of all you know this is a big property when they give you a map just to get to your room! I was here recently for a conference and what a great location this was to choose.

Hotel - The scenery is amazing and it is like a mini city under a roof. The place is very well taken car of and the walkways are fantastic. Amazing property from the time you drive up until the time you leave.

Room - The rooms are basic inside but be sure you get a room with a balcony. Mine overlooked the Delta and it is a great place to have coffee and overlook the walkways and beautiful flowers and trees.

Gardens - They are amazing and it is fun to walk around and see the plethora of different species. You could spend two hours just walking around the hotel.

Restaurants - The food and service is good but you are going to be paying high prices. $18 for a sushi roll? What is this Disney? The Irish place and Jack Daniels are fun but remember those resort prices.

Shuttle - They have some high end surburbans to bring you downtown for $60 round trip. Do this so you can get to Tootsie's and other hot spots. It is $54 for a cab and you can just call them when you need a ride home. On top of this you can charge it to your room which saves on cash.

Convention Center - Well....the first day and on subsequent days the temperature was way too cold. But my biggest irritant was no wifi in the convention area. Really? This did not make anybody happy and I heard several negative comments. They did do a nice job with coffee stations and bars.

Fitness Center - This is free (with the resort charge), big, and well maintained. As a Marriott Rewards upper memeber I also got use of the sauna area.

Overall a wonderful experience and a hotel I would stay at again. Not sure I would bring the kids as just feeding them would put me in the poor house.

When in Nashville do not miss a night at the Gaylord Hotel. It is well worth the stay. The pool and hot tub were wonderful too. If you do go it will cost you, but is well worth the money if you have it and want an enjoyable and memorable experience. The Grand Ole Opry is well worth the time and money too.

What a treat to stay here for the NWTF convention. In the middle of winter, you feel as if you are staying in the tropics. Three huge atriums full of beautifully manicured plants and trees provide the canopy over miles of paths. The resort felt safe enough for our teens to roam and the spa/pool amenities were amazing. On Valentine's Day I was treated to the best spa/massage experience of my life. The workout facility is very nice with no crowds - nice enough to motivate me to work out every day. Banquet facilities were nice and food was delicious. The only outing we took was to the mall next door. Usually we get out and see more but we knew we would be back next year so we will save the other Nashville attractions for that visit. The only down side is although the food options are great, it is very spendy. We will bring our own snacks next time.

Room Tip: The Delta area was quiet and close to the convention (once you figure out the back way). Get an atr...

We arrived about 4:00pm and the wait at the registration was extremely long and took about 45 minutes to get checked in. I am extremely disappointed that they charge you $20 a day to park your car. They have plenty of space and it's not right downtown where space is tight, so if you drive make sure you allow for that ridiculous charge. We had a lot of luggage since we were there for 4 days for a business meeting and we pulled up to valet, but found out it's an $18 a day charge for that and they still expect you to tip the valet...a little much for me. We pulled up and asked for a bellman and unloaded, then proceeded to park the car. Our company booked the basic queen room, which is very small about 300 sq ft. They are very basic with 2 queen bed, a desk with 1 chair, chest with a flat screen TV. The bathroom is extremely small where you have to step aside to close the door to use the toilet and/or shower/tub combo and the tub is shallow, so don't think about taking a nice soak. There is a sink in the toilet shower area and another sink outside by the closet that has the coffee pot. They really didn't put much money in the rooms. When we first got there they gave us a room in the Cascade section that looked out over the parking lot and roof. We were very unhappy with that room and went back down and waited another 30 minutes demanding a decent room that overlooked the interior...after all, that is what your paying for. We were moved to the Garden Conservatory with a small balcony overlooking the waterfalls, dinning and sky walkway. We were constantly lost and even though they have signs, it's still very confusing. Our meeting rooms were clear on the other side of the property and took about a 15 minute walk to get where you needed to meet each day. I personally will never book her for a personal stay...I just don't feel the room is worth what you pay; but after all you are paying for their interior beauty not the room. All of the restaurants for the most part are pretty good, but here is another place you will need to open your wallet...they are all very pricy.

Room Tip: Make sure when you check in that you get an interior room or you will be very disappointed.

Such a fun place. I was there on business and basically never had to leave the resort until I wanted to explore downtown Nashville night life. The resort has everything including a little boat ride around the indoor river! It's gigantic, a mini city. The only thing is it is easy to get lost but other than that...
Everyone there is super nice, food and drink was very good but expensive. Definitely something forveryone. Great for business or pleasure.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center far exceeded my expectations.
We booked this as a last minute trip in January 2013 and just traveled February 17th thru the 22nd. The Hotel could do no wrong. We stayed in the Delta Wing and it was a perfect location to everything. The Restaurants are great and we didnt have any problems getting a reservation. The only thing is that if the hotel is not booked at 100% then they will close a restaurant. we never had a problem finding something to eat and you have 24 hour room service. The hotel is fabulous but you also do pay for what you get.
We didnt have to leave if we didnt want to as you had everything right at your fingertips.
Overall I would stay here again. The feel of the resort was very warm and inviting.
Great hotel experience.

Room Tip: Try to stay in the Delta Section of the hotel. close to the Cascades.
