I really mean that title this place is gorgeous!!! Well kept and just such a unique experience!!! The rooms are just great nice bed well laid out and nice views. The facility is just overwhelming. Lots of greenery and it makes you feel you are on a tropical island with stores. Now I will be honest here the food at the Breakfast , lunch , dinner buffet and I had them all was seriously the best I have ever had!!! I am 44 and have traveled everywhere including all over the u.s and Europe and I usually hate buffets but this was just top notch!!! the food choices where unlike any buffet . So it has the food , the atmosphere , the rooms and service yes she is expensive but its an experience!!!

Great place to stay. It is almost like being on a cruise ship without the water. Breakfast buffet was good. Shopping was good at the resort. Indoor outlet mall is within walking distance. There is so much to see in your resort alone! The steak house was out of this world!

I was recently at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center for the American Football Coaches Association trade show. The facility is beautiful, clean, and intersting. Between the flowers, palm trees and other plants, you can walk though an indoor garden and stop at the ponds to look at the fish, enjoy a waterfall and even take a ride in a boat around the "river" inside the facility. (around 10 dollars per person for the boat ride) I had the opportunity to visit right after Christmas and there were over a million lights on the outside of the facility and amazing decorations on the inside of the facility. The restaurants inside the resort were very good, some shops specialized in local merchandise and a lot of information on Tennessee and Nashville history. You could a week at this resort and not see everything they have. I really enjoyed this trip. I did have one concern. With this trade show, there were so many football coaches there, that they should have had more security expecially for the women at the show. I had a few uncomfortable encounters with intoxicated men while walking back to my room after dinner around 9 - 9:30PM. If you are going as a family for a vacation, I'd check to see what other conventions are going on at the time you want to visit.

We recently went to a large convention at this hotel. Check-in was seamless as well as the self parking. First complaint? resort fee that you have to pay to use fitness and wireless. the wireless at Gaylord is horrible! You have to hold your device at the perfect angle to get wireless! Second complaint? The service staff in the restauants and bars. Most of them are not service oriented, like the general hotel staff. The room we had was nice, but the temperature control was always an issue. The staff at the hotel part was awesome....they need to simply train the restaurant staff. i will review them seperately under the specific restaurant. Overall, an average stay.

Room Tip: Inside view is better, perfereable to be in middle of hotel

I read the other reviews and have to agree with most all of them. What a wonderfully Landscaped City. Hard to find your way around at first and then it grows on you. I see why they are priced so high and the costs to upkeep must be incredible. So I did not have much of a problem with the cost factors. Would have prefered at room overlooking the courtyards but the wife did not realize the difference. What irked me the most was a Conference Facility without a business center. To print a single page at the Fedex Office would cost 40 cents per minute computer time and 2 dollars a page. After spending $1000 for 4 nights I thought that was an insult.

Room Tip: The atrium rooms have balconies and a view (no dumpsters).

My family visited last weekend for a convention my husband attended. As always, the resort was immaculate. We did have issues with our room which we have not encountered on prior visits. Upon arrival, the iron and ironing board were just sitting out in the room, not housed. We had dinner at Fuse, the sports bar and grill. It was fabulous, both the food and ambience. The beds were comfortable, but we were awaken at 3:30 a.m. by a squealing air conditioner fan. My husband finally just had to turn off the heating unit. When he went to shower at 5:45 a.m. the next morning, my husband discovered there was no shampoo in the room. Our overall experience was good, but when paying upwards of $400 for a one night stay, some of the issues we experienced with our accommodations are unacceptable. I was also disappointed in the quality of the breakfast and lunch provided to the attendees at the convention we attended. Next time, we will enjoy the resort but probably stay off the property due to the cost of staying at the Opryland.

First the hotel has massive atriums with walking trails among the plants & waterfalls. Nice to have a room which opens over one of the atriums. We were there over New Years Eve so the hotel was overbooked. Luckily we were with a large group and we were pre-checked in so we didn't have to wait in the long reception lines. The rooms are very nice but way over priced. Being new years had something to do with the price issue. The group we were with was there foe a Football Bowl Game so all our transportation was taken care of. Regular shuttle buses to & from downtown Nashville & Bowl Game. Otherwise it is a bit of a drive to downtown Nashville where the parking is not very good. The hotel would be an excellent place for a self contained Conference. There are a number of dining choices. None were outstanding.
