This was our first visit back to the Opryland Resort since it reopened after the flood of 2010. The property has bounced back in grand style. Many parts of the hotel have been remodeled in the process of recovering from the flood. Our visit had a fantastic start before we even entered the hotel. There was a short line of traffic to enter the registration traffic flow. The resort had a greeter standing in the median that was talking to each guest while they were still in their car and helping them make the best decisions about parking and checking in. This saved us a lot of time. Since we did not need help with our luggage or valet parking the greeter steered us out of the main traffic to a side parking area that was just steps away from the registration lobby. Registration was a breeze. We had purchased a package that included tickets to the Opry. We were pleasantly surprised when our registrationist told us that they had included our tickets for the Opry in our registration packet. This saved us a lot of time. Otherwise we would have had to leave early to go to the Opry box office to pick up tickets. On this stay we were assigned to the Delta area of the hotel. We had reserved a terrace room overlooking the Delta. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The cooling system worked great and was easy to control. Our terrace had a table and two chairs and had a great view of the Delta. The terrace was a great place to take coffee and read the paper in the morning. We also enjoyed it in the late evening for a drink. The sound of the water that flows through the Delta is peaceful and makes for a great added bonus to an already fantastic room. The bath had plenty of hot water and all the amenities that you would expect. Except for attending the Opry we never left the hotel. Dining was fantastic and the service and food was amazing. We had dinner at Ravello and Salario. Ravello is a great Italian restaurant. Salario features a Mexican menu. Each restaurant had a great menu, a good selection of wine and sangria and great service. For breakfast we tried the Cascades. This restaurant is in a great location with plenty to see while dining. The menu has lots of options. The service was great and the food very good. The indoor and outdoor pool, exercise room and spa at the Cascades are top notch and well attended. There is so much to see at the resort that a first time visitor would easily spend a whole day exploring the resort. There are many options for shopping and for a drink or snack.

Room Tip: Reserve early to get the room and dates you need. At least once it is good to get a room overlooking the Delta or Conservatory.

Wonderful resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything you would want, resturants, bars, entertainment. Bit of a cab ride to downtown and I thought a little pricey. But a wonderful resort!

As a resort hotel, this place is fantastic. Many restaurants, beautiful flora, multiple pools, spa, 24 hour fitness. Attached to Grand Ole Opry is another plus. Staff was almost always extremely accommodating.

For a business convention, one can get lost trying to find all the rooms on all the levels and wings. Having group meals served in the basement felt like eating in an airplane hangar.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room close to convention center or you will walk for miles.

Enjoyed our mother daughter weekend at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It is a beautiful facility! The $18.00 a day parking fee and $15.00 a day resort fee do increase the daily stay plus tax. The food also is around twice as much. It is good but costly. You do feel like you are someplace special while you are there. Lots of things to do and the staff is friendly and helpful. We put up with the cost so we did not have to always leave the property. Enjoyable stay

The shops were fun and the food was great. Revillo's did not exceed our expectations, and was a little pricy but we expected this. The Cascades has always been a great place to eat and the Falls bar has great drink selections. Be sure if you can afford to, get a balcony view, it is great to enjoy drinks in your room and look out at the people and things going on. Also to have food catered to your room and eat on the balcony. Very romatic.
