“Great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

we went yesterday to the chocolaterie , we had there hot chocolate yummy and the tirimisu. Tirimisu had a manufactured flavour which needs improvement. Service was good. Exception was that we couldn't book a table so it was first in best dressed basis we had 7 people so it is harder to find a table, I asked a waitress if we could have a table for 7 she told me to look for one. Maybe they could have more tables and use a seating person so that 2 people don't use a table for 5 people. Need a little more organisation for lines. like a barrier or something. Very busy. Will definitely go back. Good chocolate I love the choc coated licorice yum.

Set in a lovely landscape surrounded by vineyards and rolling paddocks.
The Chocolatiers blend Couverture with various Australian Native spices to create some unique flavours plus reshaping the usual mid dark, milk and white Couverture pellets to form various shape bars and animal shape chocolates.

The kids loved the baby hot chocolate with marsh-mellows.
We had hot chocolate which was too watery but was accompanied by hot liquid chocolate, this liquid chocolate helped improve the flavour. The kids loved dipping their biscuits into the liquid.

The kids also loved watching the chocolatiers through the glass windows in the factory.

“Great venue, great food, great chocolate!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

I have been here several times and have yet to be disappointed, its a great place to visit, it has fabulous views and the chocolate tastes great! Though it maybe a little pricey in the shop, you can just keep sampling the 3 types of choc in the freebie buckets! The cafe has a good menu and the food tastes great, some desserts are simply divine.... plus the kids have loads of space to play out on the grass

The last time we came the place was absolutely packed out and we had to wait around 10/15 minutes for a table, no big deal for us but others may not be happy with that

If you haven't been, its definitely worth a look...

“What a view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We have been wanting to come here for a while after friends had raved about it. Well it certainly didn't disappoint. We decided to have morning tea in the cafe before hitting the shop. We got a scones with jam and cream for 2 and a hot chocolate each. The cafe was really busy but we still got our order in a reasonable time. The scones were huge and really tasty. The jam was amazing and it's the first time I've ever got a scone where you had enough jam and cream to spare! The hot chocolate was lovely and come served with an extra shot of chocolate so you can adjust the strength to your liking. It also comes with a cute little whisk to mix it all up. Nice touch.

We sat on the outside deck with was sheltered and warm even though it was a cold day. I would highly recommend sitting, out here as the view is amazing. There is also big buckets of toys for the kids to play with out on the lawn, great for parents.

The chocolate shop was great, I felt like I was in Wonkas factory, so many choices! There is huge bowls of choc bits at the front that you can sample, although I did have to ask a lady behind the counter to change the spoon after witnessing a lady put it in her kids mouth then shove it back in the chocolate 0.0 The can be a little high but that is reflective of the great quality.

Will definitely be back, have to come in warmer weather to try the yummy looking ice cream!

“You like nougat?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

We stopped here at the start of our road trip to have a look see. The chocolates are reasonably expensive ($13 for 300g) but they are very tasty. It would make a nice stop over on a winery tour for those who aren't really into wine. They could have a coffee and a cake and maybe buy some chocolates. I won't be going back too often as I ate the whole bag of dark chocolate nougat sitting on the couch one night. Too many trips and I won't fit in the car...
