Ben runs his beautiful property along the lines of the famous Polyface Farm of Joel Salatin in Virginia.
Dairy cattle, sheep, pigs and both laying and meat chickens are raised by Ben and his two girls with help from interns learning to farm ethically.
The setting is picturesque, only a short drive from Melbourne, in the magnificent Macedon Ranges. The nearby town of Woodend boasts many interesting features, not the least being an abundance of good eating options.
Further on from Melbourne, but still close by are Trentham and Daylesford, also noted foodie destinations.

Farmer Ben leads a great tour through the ethical Taranaki Farm. Chickens live in mobile coops, cows graze on rotation and pigs snuffle in pastures in a picturesque country town. The tour will show you how it is possible to raise animals for food, collect eggs and milk cows in a kind and environmentally friendly way.
Great for the kids and anyone who wants to learn more about farming.
Farmer Ben, his 2 little girls and their dog should be most proud of what they have achieved!
