Lucky we booked our table as the restaurant was very busy considering it was a hot day of 44 degrees in the north east of Victoria. The service was excellent, plenty of cold water on offer and the menu was fantastic. We share a large platter that had a range of beautiful cheeses, terrine, mushrooms, assortment of meats and of course some delicious pickles! Well worth a visit if in the area...The desserts were also pretty good!

We had lunch here on our winery weekend in Rutherglen. We had booked a table which was just as well because it got quite busy. The service was fantastic. We had also just finished a 30kl bike ride and must have looked like we did. So I was brought a large glass of iced water without even asking. The 6 of us started with a share platter for 4 - but had 6 slices of thick bread and it hit the spot. There was a great variety and even though it was a platter for 4, there was heaps there for the 6 of us. We all followed with a small entree or starter type meal to finish off the lunch which was just enough. The pate was so nice I inquired if it was for sale. They let me buy some, even though it wasn't packaged for sale - but from their kitchen saved for meals. It was a great addition to our Christmas nibbles.

Stopped off here for a light lunch on Saturday...we were lucky to get a seat as there were a couple of Xmas groups in......ordered one of the platters to share and had plenty of variety, along with fresh bread, it certainly was good value....more than enough for two to share.....we then shared a lemon/poppyseed/ricotta 'cake' with lemon curd....scrummy......very friendly service and always nice to be greeted with a smile......look forward to returning again in the future.....

We stopped here on our bikes while touring the wineries. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for what you get. I would recommend booking as even on a quiet wineries day this place was packed.
