We had a family group of 9 for lunch - we were very glad we booked - the restaurant filled while we spent 2½ hours enjoying lunch. The staff were attentive and tried very hard to accommodate our large group and special dietary requirements. We started with bread and dukkah, the slices of bread were huge - fluffy white slices of heaven. Smiles all round for the Lamb shanks, pork belly and the risotto. The dessert selection was divine (8 or 9 options) - melt in the mouth chocolate tote with chocolate sauce. heaven. given the restaurant is a converted shed it is not overly noisy and it was nice and warm on a cold rainy afternoon. worth a trip if yu can spare the time from your wine tasting duties. we will be back.

The restaurant is light and bright. Service friendly and professional. Wine by the glass or bottle and a good selection as well. The food is simply excellent. It's a pity for the diner that this restaurant is not open at night, because after a lunch here, you may wish to retire for a while and bask in your own warm glow. It certainly slows the need for further wine tasting.
This restaurant is a must for visitors to the region

Remembering our great meal here a few years ago we again visited The Pickled Sisters. Not wanting a huge lunch the two of us shared the small vineyard platter ($26). It came with delicious picked vegetables, a small but nice piece of smoked salmon with mayo, a piece of cheese, lots of nice olives, a chicken terrine and a sinfully tasty chicken liver mousse. We asked our server for an order of bread and olive oil to start but she informed us that the platter came with bread and that an extra order might be too much. She was right, and we appreciate her suggestion not to order too much. And we were given a bowl of very nice olive oil to accompany the bread. A bottle of local Valhalla GSM ($35) from just down the road was perfect with the platter.

Our staff of 22 had our Christmas Party at Pickled Sisters. The canapés (especially coconut prawns) were divine served on the deck on a balmy evening. There was a full menu to choose from and every main meal was delicious. I love visiting Pickled Sisters for their desserts and once again I wasn't let down.
The service was efficient, oh so friendly and although they tidied up around us, they made it known that we did not have to rush as the chef was willing to wait for us to finish our drinks and wind down the evening.
I will be booking my husband's 2013 Xmas party at Pickled Sisters!

There are one off those days everything can go wrong in a kitchen. The bread, dukkah and zucchini flowers tasted good but all the other dishes we ordered very poor or even un eatable. The desserts (soft meringue and the panacotta), we only had a first bite and we send them back. The friendly service was excellent and they apologize for our bad experience, so thumbs up for them. But I would never have lunch at this place again.
