“First choice for brunch and coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is our regular for brunch and coffee. The menu isn't extensive but turns over regularly and the food is made with the freshest ingredients. The rosti stack with smoked salmon is a real winner, as is the herb omelette. The service is pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. And the wine stocks can turn up some wonderful bargains. What more could one ask?

“Happy Mothers Day to me”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Had a lovely mothers day lunch at Colliban Foodstore today.
Great vibe with lots of friendly chatty patrons, wonderful staff and amazing food. Had a delicious glass of wine with our meal and purchased a couple of bottles to take home - how could we not, the selection is amazing! Looking forward to next visit!

“Terrible service”

Terrible service, staff were rude. They were busy but no excuse for the attitude and service of staff. Will not be back again!

“Scones and tea - Yummy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

I returned again this trip and whilst there was no savoury food available at 2.30pm there were scones! They were delicious and served with jam, cream and French unsalted butter which is also available for purchase in the 'shop' part of the store. Tea, although in a very small trendy black teapot was made properly and tasted good - teapots could be larger as a little more hot water on the tea isn't going to make the experience any more expensive for the store to provide customers. Lots of atmosphere abounds in the country store and we relaxed in comfy chairs. I have noticed the Colliban is a lot quieter than on previous visits and there are less dining tables available as this restaurant used to be packed with diners until well into the afternoon. RECOMMENDED.

“Real country service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I turned up on a Tuesday for some supplies (truffle oil, terrine, French cheese) and they were closed :( note to self: don't trust the google opening hours, go to the actual website! The lovely owner was in his car about to head off so he opened up especially just so that my chef husband had all the ingredients he needed for a visit from friends tonight. Saved a long drive elsewhere for hard to come by ingredients. The produce here is all fantastic (try the mustards), coffee is great, scones are delish and the wine selection is fabulous. It's hard not to walk away with arms full of tasty treats and I can't wait to work my way through the menu. So lucky to have a place like this 10 minutes from home.
