We stayed here for our anniversary weekend, and were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the larger rooms upstairs. It is a gorgeous location with lovely gardens. The staff are very friendly and very helpful.
The rooms are clean, relaxing and comfortable, but the decor feels a little outdated for the cost, and the room was not so private when other guests were out on the balcony. The little restaurant has a nice view, but again for the cost I would probably rather go to one of the nearby hatted restaurants.

We booked Lindenderry at short notice and we were doing a cooking class in the area and decided to stay overnight. What a find! Staff were excellent, very friendly. Room rate even included a complimentary Devonshire tea. Breakfast was also included in the price and again great. We had a courtyard room which was a bit small with no view but we did book short notice. After dinner we spend the night lazing around the open fire chatting. Beautifully appointed and so relaxing. Can be a little expensive but we were able to pick up a last minute deal.

This is a bit of a delayed review! We stayed here on New Year's Eve 2012/2013 and although it was expensive it was a lovely place. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the grounds beautiful. the only thing I found odd was that the balcony is very much shared. We did not really see this on the hotel website, but we got back from a lovely dinner and thought we would sit outside on the balcony drinking champagne before retiring to bed. Only problem was- so did every other couple in the place. We looked out the window and there must have been 3 other couples in their dressing gowns sitting outside the rooms. Needless to say, we wanted a little more privacy so stayed indoors! I am sure there are probably other rooms you could get which had more private outdoor areas- but check before you book

Room Tip: Perhaps don't choose the balcony rooms

The pool isn't heated - in July.

The TV is A4 sized.

The room is charmless.

The games room is depressing.

The kitchen can't cope with a less-than-full dining room. Waits of 10+ min between ordering wine and getting it, ditto food (that took closer to half an hour - and then the sides came about 5 min later). Service friendly but nowhere near the level indicated by the prices.

And the music in the dining room is inappropriate, insipid, and too loud.

We spend 2 nights here (Friday and Saturday) the hotel complex is well set but appears ta bit tired and could do with some spruce up, the room was very spacious and confortable and made our stay pleasant on the negative side the spa and pool are not heated in fact they are so cold that no guest use the facility only the sauna was used by us we did not see any other guest use the facilirty, very disapointing on this score.

This was our first visit to Lindenderry Red Hill and was a wonderful experience for our family and friends, topping off our visit to the Peninsula. Nothing was too much trouble and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked into the reception. Damien, our host, was fantastic, starting the open fire for us in the spacious living room, whilst we enjoyed delicious scones, jam and cream afternoon tea. We tried some of the excellent Lindenderry Cabernet Merlot ... very enjoyable. With attention to detail service, friendly and proficient staff knowledgeable of the delightful Mornington Peninsula region, we can't wait to come back! Highly recommended.

Disappointed this visit. Attended two day training seminar for work and was a very different experience to last year. Furnishings in room tired and in need of repair. Coffee machine in function room awkward to use and makes indifferent coffee. Breakfast was disappointing with generic sliced bread to toast even though there is an artisan bakery 5 min down the road
On the plus side, food at dinner was beautiful but service was very slow. The restaurant was under pressure the first night but our wait between courses was unacceptable, particularly as we had people in our party who had opted to wait for their only course to be with the others mains. No offer of extra bread or fries while we waited and no explanation or apology for delay.
What could have been a great experience became memorable for all the wrong reasons.
