The building and views are spectacular. A fantastic location for that special romantic dinner.

Four of us enjoyed all our entrees, scallops and veal, and the finely cooked and presented mains, cod and duck.

We recently dined at The Dining Room en route to a local B&B. I have some dietary requirements which were accommodated with ease and the various staff looking after us understood what I could and couldn't have.
We arrived early and went to Cellar door to sample some wines and also determine what we would like to have with our meal.
I note other reviewers commenting that it is expense here. You don't mind when the service, meal and wine are all faultless and you can also a enjoy a great view.
We enjoyed the $85pp 3 course lunch offer which we found to be great value.
We had a very enjoyable afternoon. Well done Port Phillip Estate! We'll certainly be back and next time we plan to stay there.

I had been wanting to visit port Phillip estate since it opened. I had passed during construction and was amazed by the rammed earth structure going up. I love great architecture, and it did not disappoint. The auto swing door opened and we were greeted by friendly staff, a fantastic fit-out, complementing amazing views over vineyards to western port bay. It could have all come tumbling down, but it didn't. The food was utterly amazing. Great wine, champagne, and it really could not have been any better. So much so we returned the next day for lunch and more wine!

Since opening it's doors a couple of years ago, Port Phillip Estate has a loyal following. The winery and restaurant is a modern packed earth construction. The imposing building looks very unfriendly from external appearances and most first-time visitors often don;t know what to do when they approach the front entrance as the doors are always closed. However, as you walk towards the doors -they magically open for you.

Inside is the complete opposite of the exterior structure. the internal walls are all glass windows with stunning vistas over the vineyards and through to distant views of the bay.

Port Phillip offers wine tastings and casual meals in the tasting area as well as a formal dining room. The emnu is varied and features seasonal fare from the Mornington Peninsula region with fresh vegetables and fruit as well as local seafood and cheeses.

Cuisine is creative and inviting and the portions are well thought out. Staff are courteous and attentive, although some could do with some basic table service etiquette.

A great place for a Sunday lunch or a very special occasion. Highly recommended

An orgasm of architecture, landscape and food. Slick yet effortless, a lazy Sunday lunch in the restaurant of Port Phillip is a must. I'm not one for 'fancy' or 'pretentious' (so Victorian) dining so I approached my lunch date with very little expectation, almost trepidation. But with that came the experience of a decadent (yet not over the top and still quite homely) lunch with marvelous food - cooked so brilliantly and plated so beautifully - the gastronomic sensations were definitely happening with good effect. All supplemented with excellent service.
A total delight.
