While staying in Point Lonsdale for a couple of nights, dining at the Vue Grand was a must on our list. We had arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night without a booking, they were very busy and full. They said to come back at 8pm to try then. We did, after checking out other options in town, we were willing to wait so we could dine in this beautiful heritage building. We were given a table when we arrived back, although the place was still very busy. We were given breads and oils to start with and then some appetizers. we ordered one entree and 2 mains, and everything was absolutley exceptional. Very high quality and cooked to perfection, the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful, and loved the good old fashioned service of them opening up the door for you and to bid you goodnight, a really nice touch to a wonderful experience. Dining at Vue Grand whilst in Queenscliff is a must.

We decided to have a sit down meal of fish and chips and the balcony of the Vue Grand Hotel looked inviting. The staff were very friendly and the meal was a pleasant and typical serving of fish and chips with a simple salad and didn't take long to arrive to the table.

Booked a private function , did not get the room we had booked. Only provided seating for 20 people when we had booked for 36. Not enough cups and saucers . Not enough food All the food was pre-packaged from a supermarket and reheated!

This was a majestic hotel once!!, Had lunch on the balcony early week. Must have been the day the cleaners were not doing their job. I know the area is outside but should not stop someone with a high pressure cleaner washing the dirty floors and walls.
Lunch was very slow in appearing, 30 minutes for a salad, Only 3 other tables eating, all appeared to be waiting.
