Fantastic facilities with the new kids playroom a real hit.(Far better than the old movie room for little ones) Great proximity to the beach and no shortage of kid friendly facilities. With tennis court, playground, grass area and basketball hoop all within a 50m of each other, it is SO easy to find something to do for kids of all ages. Loved the weekend kids activities and an indoor pool is top of the range!!
The perfect family resort!!

Room Tip: A area is close to jumping pillow with BBQ where you can eat enjoy a drink and watch the kids all at...

Couldn't rave enough! We had a tent site. Great location. They had matting on the ground which saved he using a tarp. I forgot our pillows and it wasn't a problem to lend us some. Pool was fantastic. In fact all the facilities were top rate and impeccably maintained. We used the camp kitchen a lot and it worked well as it was adjacent to the kids indoor play area. My kids want to go back again soon!!

A very nicely maintained park. As caravanners we were on a drive thru site with plenty of room. Amenities block a little old hat and tired, but the park is more oriented towards the cabin crowd. $47 a night with the Big 4 discount is top $.

From the moment we arrived where we were met with a smile and genuine interest we were impressed with Beacon Resort.
It was Impressively clean and tidy. We were offered an ensuite site for our camper. For a small extra cost the confines of our camper shower disappeared ... It is a great feature!
It is a perfect spot to access the Bellarine rail trail.

Stayed in motel room - we are a family if three, and couldn't fault service. My son loved the activity room that has indoor play area, games room and kitchen for patron use. Table tennis the choice of game, and we took advantage of the bike hire for a trip into town that included checking out a visit from Thomas & friends to the Bellarine railway! My only suggestion is that the motel room be updated - decor a little tired and bed a bit too soft & springy. Will be back!

After recently having a baby we wanted a holiday close to home with all the conveniences of home but also provided enough entertainment for my older two children without having to stray far. Beacon Resort promised all of that with its facilities and kids activities while being close to the beach.

The check in process was easy and staff friendly and informative. Our cabin was ready ahead of time which was a bonus.

The resort is small and very well kept, clearly management take a lot of pride in their buildings and grounds and I couldn't fault them on the surroundings.

We stayed in a Port Philip cabin which has a living area, small kitchen and dining space, 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms and a small verandah with BBQ. These cabins however are hardly your average caravan park cabin, they are quite impressive! With gas fireplace, flat screens in each bedroom and the lounge room, and ultra modern fixtures, fittings and decor, they are more like a modern apartment. But, it doesn't come cheap! We paid $265 per night during the April school holidays, which is a huge amount of money, and admittedly despite how much of a lovely time we had are unlikely to return due to the cost, this holiday was an exception due to our circumstances. There are cheaper cabins available but it is all relative, so you are paying for the high standard of the resort itself.

The cabin didn't have a bath which was a slight inconvenience with a baby, plus it would of been nice to have a soak. The kitchen is small and comes without an oven. Weather was good to us so the BBQ made up for it, however a mid winter stay could make this quite inconvenient. There were no laundry facilities in the cabin which meant trips to the laundromat at $4 per load ($5 if you use the newer machines), it would of been a nice touch to offer free tokens to use the machines if you are staying in premium cabins maybe.

The fridge was stocked with mini bar style items which was also nice, but as a family this was just a bit of a pain having to move it all out to move our stuff in. If we were just a couple we most likely would of been grateful for the convenience and just replaced items next time we were in town.

We took advantage of having a paper delivered to our cabin each morning which was a nice luxury and had we of not bought our coffee machine would of taken advantage of the coffees for purchase in the reception area.

The resort is a drive away from Queenscliff but quite close to Point Lonsdale which is a beautiful 25 min walk along the beach path and has the same supermarket facilities, so we utilised the services there.

The Point Lonsdale front beach is fantastic for kids with calm water and rock pools for the kids to explore at low tide. There is also a nice playground adjacent to the beach and the convenience of the shops across the road, so we favoured there over the beach across from the resort.

The resort offered daily activities for the kids which were run by a lovely lady who was enthusiastic and great with the kids. My older girls really enjoyed going along every day and these activities were free too.

The pool wasn't as big a hit as I hoped it would be. It is indoors and heated but has a main pool which most shallow depth is 1.1m and then a toddler pool and separate spa. My girls were at that awkward age (8 & 10) where the main pool was too deep to play in, as you needed to be on your tippy toes, treading water, hanging on to the edge, or swimming the whole time. It was kind of all or nothing. While they can swim, they found it uncomfortable to be trying to stay above water constantly when they wanted to play and do handstands etc.

There was an indoor play room for younger ones which was great, although a lot of older kids hung around in the space as the table tennis, pool table and video games were in the adjacent room. You could also hire 3 wheel buggies to ride around the park which the girls had lots of fun with. There was a half tennis court which we didn't manage to have a go at but probably would of if we had of stayed longer.

The older children and I joined in the early morning Saturday yoga, and can I say, it was fantastic. The instructor ran a thoroughly enjoyable session making the girls feel very welcome.

Beacon Resort is a high end caravan park which provides a lot of great facilities, centred around families. We had a great time and would love to be able to return regularly but our 6 nights there cost the same as 3 nights skiing on mountain including ski hire, lift tickets and lessons, so would prioritise that. Maybe it's time we invest in a camper trailer :)

Room Tip: The park is small, but we were tucked around the corner near the playground so there was no through...

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. It sounds like your family had an amazing holiday. Tara, our Yoga Instructor is fantastic and specialises in family friendly sessions, so it's very pleasing to see you and your girls got so much out of it.

We aim to provide value with a range of activities and facilities available at no additional cost. Outside of school holidays and long weekends, the rates are lower and we also offer package options which include great savings and extras such as tours, dinner hampers, bike hire and more.

The Kids Activities run every day, all year round and with many indoor facilities, it's still a great option for a family holiday even during the cooler months.

Hopefully, there will be an opportunity for you to come back again for another visit. We'd love to see you.

We stayed here for a few days with our son. The place not only has excellent facilities but has good things to keep the kids busy -- holiday activities, The Dock (indoor play area), outdoor playgrounds, and indoor swimming pool. With a lot of other kids around in an enclosed area, it seemed like there was always something for our son to do while we get some time to just sit back and relax :-)

I'm so glad your son got such great value from the resort facilities and made lots of new friends in the process. It sounds like your whole family has returned home from Queenscliff with some fantastic holiday memories.
