“Big 4 Beacon Resort - Excellent”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

The Big 4 Beacon Resort Holiday resort in Queenscliff is in an excellent position and you could not want for better facilities. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin which was really modern, clean and great to come home to after the days events. We went for the Blues train Festival and the organisation from the resort to the Train and back again was seamless. Highly recommend this destination for a getaway as the town of Queenscliff is really lovely to look around and the wineries in the surrounding areas are just beautiful not to mention the variety of beaches to chose from. Will definitely go back to Queenscliff and will definitely stay at the Big 4 Beacon Resort.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom cabins are roomy, clean and really modern...really lovely

We stayed for 3 nights in the Port Phillip Villa.
Very comfortable and modern. Had everything we needed.
We were right opposite the playground so could sit on the patio and watch our kids play while we cooked on the BBQ.
When the kids weren't on the playground they were in the pool.
We are coming back next year !!!

My husband and l shared one of the larger units with our friends and could not have had a more pleasant stay. The unit was beautiful, the only thing we had a problem with was two of the sliding doors did not close properly but over all it was lovely and will be back at some stage. We had two bathrooms which was great. Also very quiet.

My friend and I stayed here two nights, one night to travel on the blues train. Had everything we needed but we were a bit disappointed that it wasnt right on the water.... the map looks like it is... only a short walk but is across a main road etc. (I enjoy hearing the surf at night, and this didnt happen). Also not walking distance at all to any eating places. We needed to catch a taxi into queenscliffe since we wanted to have a couple of wines with dinner, reception said it would be around $5.00..... it was more like $13 each way...

We stayed in the Swan Bay cabin which was well and truly roomy for two of us, but if you had six in there which it does sleep it would be extremely space restricted. Just so people have the heads up. Otherwise all good. I would say more suited to young families, ideal in fact for this!

I stayed over at the Bellarie King Room at the resort. Very comfortable and clean with nicely spaced room. 2 televisions available for big family or group! Enjoyed the heated pool within the resort with spa available too. Short drive to Queenscliff town centre and harbour to travel by ferry to Sorrento. Staff are very friendly and helpful in terms of asking for directions and good place to eat. Really enjoyed my stay and will be happy to stay there again if I happen to come by to Queenscliff for an overnight or family trip.

Room Tip: Indoor heated pool available at the site. If you're worried of getting cold while walking to the...

We stayed for 3 nights in a Bellarine King room, with well equipped kichenette, full sized fridge, dishwaser, large screeen television and DVD player, separate sittting room with television, couch and ottamans. As part of the pre purchased deal through an internet accomodation site, the paper was delivered daily with unlimited bike and DVD hire. Additionally,we were left a pre prepared dinner (a lasagne and a beef in red wine casserole) from a local Queenscliff providore in the fridge, supposedly for a night's dinner but the helpings were so generous that they were eaten over 2 evenings. The room was spotless and comfortable in every respect. We enjoyed the DVDs and rode the bikes (helmets and a lock supplied) around Queenscliff ,amusingly alongside the Ride Around the Bay cyclists as the big ride was on that day. I also spent considerable time in the heated, indoor pool and spa. Marco Polo was a bit wasted on me ,but the younger pool users seemed to have a wonderful time playing it.It was a perfect stay in a wonderfully equipped ,first class resort. We are looking forward to future return visits.

Room Tip: Would recommend a Bellarine King room for two people. It has everything for a fantastic stay.

We stayed in one of the Bellarine Rooms. The room was extremely clean and neat. We only stayed 2 nights and our room was serviced daily. The reception ladies were very friendly and warm. We stayed in the school holidays and it was great to see lots of families enjoying the pool and jumping pillow. Noise was not a problem and the location of the Big 4 was easy to find. Only 5 minute walk to beach. Would definitely stay here again
