Queenscliff is just about an hour and an half from Melbourne but it is a lovely, quaint and quiet spot to get away from home. My friend and I rang and made a last minute booking at the height of the season. Helen, mine host, was extremely friendly and accommodating, finding a room that was suitable. When we wanted to extend our stay, Helen once again fiddled around with existing bookings to accommodate us, at short notice. We originally booked a two night package that included breakfast and although it was not served at the guest house we were fed at local cafes.
The room was small but adequate with a small private en suite. This is a B and B not a motel!!! There is a small lounge with a TV and fridge on the first floor, close to the bedrooms and a balconly overlooking the main street. The groundfloor has a large lounge, dining area with tea and coffee and a big TV! All for guest use!
It was comfortable, quiet and extremely clean! Helen, her family and staff were all so friendly and made our' Wifey Escape' very pleasant. Remember. this is a B and B in an old Coffee Palace so the noise in the corridors and other rooms can be heard all through, it might not be suitable for large families but for us it was just right! Fantastic stay, Thank you!More
