Visually appealing place, coffee tasted good. However counter staff member was abrupt and did not smile at all. The thing that bothered me the most was the prolific use of paper cups with plastic lids (not even biodegradable ones) even for people dining in. I assume most modern cafe’s who care about the environment (which should be everyone these days) do not use takeaway cups for dining in, or I would have brought my own cup. In addition I was surrounded by previous customers paper cups left all over the table.

Hello TracycC3353US,

Thank you for taking the time to write.
Due to the overwhelming increase of visitors to the area in summer we can only offer take away cups in January. The rest of the year we have crockery. The cups are compostable, however we sell Keep Cups and also promote the BYO notion via our socials. Upon opening just over a year ago we stopped all plastic bags, straws, take away sauces etc. We care about the environment and welcome solutions, and daily assistance from our customers and the community to help.
We hope you come again and enjoy your visit.
Best,
Loïc + Kirsty

I had the mushroom omelette with truffle oil which was perfectly cooked and yummy. My partner felt like something plain and even though the menu is French there was still eggs and bacon on toast on offer so he had that. We liked the coffee so had several. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend and will go again - will try the Croque-Monsieur next time as it looked delicious.

Coffee was just OK, service was disappointing - staff did not look happy or friendly and didn’t smile much.
There is no bathroom - disappointing for a dine-in venue...

We are sorry to hear you feel your experience with us was disappointing. We hope you come again and you feel differently. By then also we hope our bathroom, which is currently under construction, shall be completed. Until then our customers are able to use the one just across the park.

A great spot for lunch outdoors by the sea with the dog imaging you’re on the French Riviera. After negotiating the French menu we enjoyed the ham and cheese omelette served with salad and delightful bowl of French fries, great coffee too. A pleasant change from the pub, reasonably priced, relaxed friendly service.
