we have just spent new years eve at this beautiful bed and breakfast in portarlington could not have asked for anything better the room was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable, the cooked breakfast was something to behold plenty of well cooked choices and plenty of food. The hosts Mick and Sue were very attentive and could not do enough for us without being intrusive, they were wonderful hosts I would highly recommend Pelican Sands to friends and family without hesitation, thank you Mick and Sue for a wonderful break, we will be back

An absolute gem!!! Found the Pelican Sands B & B by chance on a hotel booking website and after looking at the other reviews on TA, decided to book a two night getaway for hubby and myself. Was completely in awe of the beauty and charm of the house and absolutely loved the differerent themed decor in each of the guest rooms. Susan and Mick were utterly charming and we enjoyed hearing the story of how the B & B came about. Hubby and I could not fault anything - thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and highly recommend the Pelican Sands B & B to anyone who wants to get away from everyday living and take a step into another corner of the world

My partner & I could not have been happier coming across The Pelican Sanda B&B. What a great weekend away spent in such a beautiful place, equally matched by the hospitality shown by hosts, Mick & Susan. The room we stayed in was incredible. Upstairs you find a beautiful open plan living area and large kitchen where a fantastic breakfast is served up daily. Definately will be coming back soon

Desperately needed a break from the world. My wife & I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Pelican Sands. Sue and Mick made us feel very comfortable and they were great hosts. The rooms were very well presented and Mick's cooked breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Portarlington and the Bellarine Peninsula has lots to offer and is the perfect place to escape.
We had a great time and a much needed rest. Thanks again.

Having travelled around the world for some 48 years and 35 with my wife, staying in some of the best hotels world wide I can say without any hesitation this is one of the best.
You will never , I repeat never find a cleaner better presented establishment any where in the world.
The theme rooms are fantastic with every amentity you would want and the breakfeast, sitting on the balcony is a joy to experience.
However the very best part of Pelican Sands is Mick and Susanne. The best and most wonderfull hosts you will ever find. Sitting at breakfeast we enjoyed many great conversations about the area, and so many other things.
I cannot wait to advise my travel agents about this absolute gem on the Ballarine. We cannot wait to go back.
Thanks Mick and Susanne, fantastic.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Moulin Rouge room with its little balcony. Wonderfull.

My husband surprised me with a weekend away for our 14th wedding anniversary @ Pelican Sands. Susan welcomed us late at night, then we were amazed by the Bali room and enjoyed a wine in the spa before retiring for the night. Our delicious breakfast on the balcony was complimented with great conversation with Susan and June. So friendly, welcoming and a wealth of information about the surrounding area. We set out for a day of exploring Portarlington and the gorgeous seaside towns nearby. We were blessed with sighting a pod of dolphins swimming along the bay at St Leonard's and a big black Stingray! Jade Boutique provided some lovely momentos of our weekend and the Ice Creamery a special treat after our swim. Dinner was divine at the Jack Rabbit winery, which came highly recommended by Susan and it did not disappoint. Enjoying our pre dinner drinks on the balcony at Jack Rabbit was so relaxing and the view was....words don't suffice, just come and see. After dinner we returned to Pelican Sands to soak up more of the peace & tranquility on offer on the balcony before retiring to the comfort of our room. Breakfast on Sunday allowed us to meet Mick and learn more about the beautiful house they have transformed into the magnificent B&B it now is. We have already highly recommended Pelican Sands to our friends & family and will definitely return in the future.
