This was a great find. Our room was spotlessly clean and decorated in a crisp white minimalist style. The house itself is an old charmer that Susan has renovated well for her guests but has left plenty of character in the common areas. She cooked us a great breakfast before we left on our road trip. On Susan's recommendation, we dined at the Port Albert Cafe opposite the B&B where we had an excellent meal.

This was our second visit and the warm welcome, attention to detail and lovely ambience was exactly the same on both visits. Susan's cooked breakfasts set you up for the day and the family style eating area enhances the feeling of welcome. The rooms are spotless and the towels nice and crunchy. Altogether a great weekend away and we will be returning regularly.

Went for the long weekend away in June 2012. Not having been to Gippsland before, this was our first holiday in this area. We weren't to be disppointed!

The B&B was extremely clean and in a great location. Susan, the host was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Any questions or problems that we had, she sorted them straight away. It also presented great value for money.

We stayed in one of the outside cabins, which was comfy if a little rustic! Luckily the heater worked a treat in keeping out the cold. The breakfast provisions given to us were exactly what we needed, as we started out our days of exploring the wider area.

Port Albert itself was an extremely quaint fishing village with two great restaurants (The General Store and the Fish Restaurant) and some nice local walks. We also enjoyed visiting the small maritime museum next to the B&B.

The hotel also proved a great location to explore wider Gippsland. The 90 Mile Beach is not far away, as is the Gippsland Lakes. We also had some great walks around the Tarra-Bulga National Park. On our journey back to Melbourne, we went on the Grand Ridge Road, which was certainly an experience! Very windy and bumpy in parts. Don't think we got much out of third gear, which was just as well given the amazing views along it!

Would certainly recommend this hotel and will be keen to stay here again in the future!

Susan was flexible and welcoming- before we even arrived!
After moving into our room, we discovered our blind didn't close properly and we were promptly ushered into another room, Susan concerned that we wouldn't be as warm as this room hadn't been pre-heated...so she brought in an extra heater.
We had a very comfortable night and enjoyed the big bath and double shower too. Brekky was delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice and all we could have wanted, so we left very content.

Quaint and very charming B&B, we'll definitely be back!!

We stayed in the cabin which had a very comfy bed and an extensively equipped kitchen. However with the amazing buffet breakfasts that Susan cooks up each morning and some really nice local restaurants and cafes we decided not to use our kitchen at all. Susan is extremely friendly and very willing to provide her local knowledge of the area for things to do. Fil & Kim

Brilliant! Such a friendly experience in spotless comfortable rooms, and the breakfast selection in the cosy kitchen was fantastic.
Susan, Daisy and Doug made us so welcome that we intend to return before too long.
Thanks again for making Port Albert an even more inviting place to visit.

We stayed in the Harbour view room in January. The hotel and room were very nice, and Susan was very helpful and cooked a great breakfast. The only down side is that there is not much in Port Albert, and the only decent restaurant was only open on Friday and Saturdays.

Room Tip: The large harbour view room was nice, but there was not much of a harbour view and I think staying i...
