Made a booking not long before we got there on a Saturday night for four people. No problems. Had a table close to the kitchen, but again not a problem. We shared the dips and bread – fresh and interesting and plenty for all four of us. However, all mains are ‘large’. Large pizzas, large pastas. No other size available, but we were informed that we could take away what we couldn’t eat. At approximately $25 (give or take a dollar or two more for most) for each main pasta or pizza this seemed to be a bit much. And, yes it was. The pastas were served, but really far too much for even the males to get through. The pizza was also too much for one person to eat. Someone wrote that the pizzas have a very thin crust. Very typical Italian and not something that would not make us purchase one again. But…..pizza toppings ‘very light on’…whilst the flavour is very interesting and pleasurable, there needed to be a little more to cover the whole ‘large pizza’, not just the middle section of the pizza. The pastas were far too much for anyone to finish and really just a waste, even if you can take the leftovers home. My advice would be to forget about ordering a meal each and just share a pizza or pasta (after having their delicious dips). The service was good, but before we finished eating the kitchen was being cleaned and the smell of ammonia wafted through to our table, forcing us to make a hasty exit. Given that there were still quite a number of diners still eating (it wasn’t like we were the last customers and we were being given a bit of a hint to leave) it was not a pleasant experience. Would we go there again? If we are in the area; yes, but we would not order the pizza, we would probably more likely share the dips and then a pasta. The place has potential and is putting together some interesting flavours worth trying. BUT……. they need to be less excessive with their portions and therefore their prices and the place would be a more exciting place to visit, enabling you to try a few more dishes at a reduced price. A little more interesting than just trying to force yourself to finish a meal that very few would be able to do…….perhaps then we might have splashed out and ordered desert????? (But not at the meal sizes and their equivalent prices). PS they have a $10 corkage charge, but given the price of the red that we took with us, was really quite reasonable and would not have purchased something of an equivalent price if we had just ordered a bottle of wine.
