Ocean Hideaway Cedar Cabins

My husband and I booked the cabin as a last minute Easter getaway as they had a cancellation...lucky us! Being located in a bushland setting was so peaceful. The cabin was very clean and tidy with all the necessary amenities. We couldn't have asked for anything more - and if we did, the owners were most obliging and friendly! Highly recommended as a base for couples exploring the Bellarmine.

This is the second time we stayed here and we can recommend it as a great place to go for a romantic retreat. The cabins (only two of them on the property) are simple but have everything you need. The bush setting is gorgeous and the scent of the peppermint gums is intoxicating. Prices are reasonable and the hosts, Sharon and Bill are excellent.

Needed a breather out of our working week, so headed to Ocean Grove Ocean Hideaway Cedar Cabins. Hosts very kind & nothing too much trouble. Cabins cute and cosy and best of all air-conditioned on a hot day! Also made use of the 'natural' rock pool with mini waterfall, very refreshing. Only sounds the breeze through the trees & the native birdlife. What a find.Breakfast thrown in for a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: Only two cabins, both the same standard, very private.

Firstly, from the first meeting with the hosts Sharon and Bill, the atmosphere could not be more welcoming, you almost feel like family.
The cottage, although compact, was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The air conditioner worked efficiently as did the other appliances.
Added touches such as the flower arrangement and chocolate, bread for toast and toppings, put much more expensive venues to shame! Money cannot buy the peace and serenity of the setting.
The whole package is a credit to the hosts.

The cottage is not luxurious but nevertheless it has everything you require for self-catering & is well priced for coastal accommodation. It is not on the beach but is not far by car & is set in very pleasant bush surrounds with tennis court & pool. We had a very comfortable night & our hosts wee very pleasant, even allowing us to access the cottage a little early & they were happy for us to stay later had we wanted. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I live in Melbourne and went down to Ocean Grove for our 1 year Wedding Anniversary. Adorable cabin with everything you need! They have literally thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable, and for the price, you cannot beat it. The flowers (lilacs) just reward your senses every time you walk out the front door. Comfortable bed and really convenient to everything in Ocean Grove.

The pool was freezing, but that's to be expected at the start of spring. The spa wasn't operational, which would have been nice on the cold nights. Really can't complain...had a great weekend!
