Great place for either a day trip or overnight. Not much to do here except the Penguin parade - those little penguins are adorable and worth the long drive down. The town closes early, it's pretty dead, food was ok. I'm from NY so not that impressed with the food. It was decent. Drove down from Melbourne and stayed at the Island Accommodation (http://theislandaccommodation.com.au/), which is really why i'm writing this review. My husband and I have never stayed at hostels before (b/c of bed bugs), we always stay at starwoods when we can. We saw some pics of this place and thought it would be a fun experience, nice way to meet people. This place is new, everything smelled and looked new. We got upgraded to an ensuite. It was very clean. The media rooms, common space, and kitchen was very nice, clean, and spacious. Defintely worth staying. We met some lovely people in the kitchen who were celebrating some bday and shared some cheese & snacks with us.
