Let's face it -- in Middle Tennessee, Mexican restaurants are all pretty much serving the same food. The menus are designed a little differently, but you can find your favorite dishes prepared similarly at different locales.
If you want good Mexican food, pleasant and attentive service and good value, this is it. There are even some items offered that I haven't seen at other restaurants, so that' s a plus, too.
Margarita House opened up in what used to be an Asian buffet, and the restaurant has done a great job in the year-or-so since it opened. As a Mount Juliet resident, my wife and I have tried El Rey Azteca, Don Pancho, and Hacienda Del Sol -- Margarita house beats them all. The hosts and servers are friendly and out to make sure you enjoy yourself, the margaritas are very good (as they should be, given the restaurant's name), and the food is surprisingly good!
If you like fajitas, the meat is good quality -- at other establishments, it's been dicey at best. I haven't tried the sangria... yet... but others say it's the drink to get.
Tip: Happy Hour is ALL DAY from Sunday to Wednesday!! You can't beat that!
They are great with kids, by the way, so bring the young 'uns.
