We spent three nights at Brooklands and found the accommodation to be clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. Basic kitchen facilites and local take aways give you good flexibility. Well located for a stroll into Mornington main street and the harbour area.

We stayed here while house hunting when moving to this area from Perth. It met all of our requirements, and when there was once a mix up with the room, the front office staff were absolutely excellent. Now, we live here, and recommend this hotel to friends who need more room than we can provide in our spare room. Mornington is a quant country town, and this hotel matches the towns attraction. It is close to the main street, which caters for a wide range of cuisine.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights while attending a birthday bash nearby. We had a room with a King bed and a single for our littl'un. Quite spacious, though the lack of any cooking facilities other than a kettle caught us a bit by surprise (not even a toaster that we could find, let alone a microwave). I have to say though that we just went up to the main street and had breakfast (and dinner one night) at a cafe. Lovely! I think the lack of cooking stuff is actually in their blurb and we just overlooked it, but we weren't actually fazed by it.

Bathroom is nice and spacious; the separate toilet would appear big enough to take a wheelchair. Both rooms have sliding doors. The room was very clean and well maintained.

A small courtyard out the back door is available but it decided to rain the only evening we might have used it, so we used the indoor heated pool, again, instead. That pool is great, and includes a spa. Wonderful! Towels provided and a shower at the poolside for before/after wash down.

We didn't interact with the staff much, which suited us just fine. the few times we did they were very pleasant and efficient. Again, just what you want. A wedding party was staying at the hotel at least one night we were there but the place is so big and well built we wouldn't have known if we hadn't seen the cars with the ribbons (hope you had a great day guys!).

Very convenient access to the Mornington shopping centre and strip, and the beach nearby also. Great location, great hotel.

We were kicked out of our stay due to system issues even though we'd booked 2 months ahead. They didn't even call us to apologize. When we arrived, the receptionist knew straight away that they'd let our room go to someone else. Wasn't a very sympathetic welcome. They had booked us in to the hotel down the street, but this was a much cheaper hotel and the receptionist told us they'd cover the difference. Wow. Thanks.

We arrived as expected around 11pm - we kept buzzing the bell to get service since the reception was closed. No answer. My sister used her British telephone to call the main number and got the assistance to get into the night box to gain our keys. I gave my info too to confirm the reservation. The lady gave us the code that didn't work. We tried many times then she put us on hold and called the manger (who was in bed). She came out and gave us the key!
We slept the night then left the next morning.
The room was large.
My hubby had breakfast in the cafe/restaurant -approx $25 for eggs Benedict with coffee. A little costly compared to the States but he said it was good. They also offer a muffin and coffee to go!

This place is located at one of the best locations! The room was nicely decorated which made us feel very welcomed. One of the best service they provided is their staff honesty. Left my phone and went back 2 hours later, the staff picked it up and returned it back to me. Thank you very much for that. One little criticism is the shower area. The floor was quite slippery, I knocked myself but thankfully I didn't fell down. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Thank you!

We arrived at the best western hopeful of a nice relaxing few days on a much-needed holiday. There were some nice things, the gentleman in reception was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the room clean.
Then the problems started.
The first morning i became ill from something eaten off the mini-bar.
We had specifically booked this place because it had a gym. Unfortunately half the equipment was substandard or broken in some way.
To our immense surprise we came back on our second day to find a letter from management advising us: as a full linen change had been necessary they would charge us if this was required again???????
I have travelled extensively and worked in hotels for several years - i have never in my life seen something like this. Our bed linen did not require changing, a few small stains I cannot understand why they even changed the doona. We had had to use all the towels to soak up the water on the bathroom floor from the ridiculous open plan shower.... every single shower created a lake. Trip hazard much?
I felt this was one of the rudest things I had ever come accross. From then on whenever we crossed paths with the housekeeping staff they were incredibly rude. Every morning before 9am I was woken up by them talking extremely loudly outside the door. I had been looking forward to some real sleep-ins for months... yet it was not to be had in the 'quiet, peaceful' hotel as advertised.
Upon checking out we had issues with our credit card being overcharged and my partner had barely been able to get a word in edgewise when discussing this with the rude female manager on the phone.
All up we were made to feel competely unwelcome... and had been on the receiving end of downright rudeness. I simply could not believe the manner of the housekeeping staff... when we had been completely civil to them.
I would absolutely never return to this place. It ruined my holiday :(

Good morning thankyou for your review. I would like to point out just a thing or two to you the linen was not from cleaning the shower it was from tan and red wine. Also you must have eaten lots of chocolate as that it all that is in the mini bar to eat. I the manager have not spoken to you on the phone or in person as l was not hear at the time.My staff did ring you to let you know you had left things behind l would have thought that was good service. We all here try very hard to please but do not get it right all the time .
