This is where you go to to taste good fine food without paying the BIG over-rated prices of "hatted" restaurants.
Ambience is nice, love rhe details in the simple decor and fitted out well.

“Rude”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Similar to the review in August 2013 we approached the front section and told the girl we just wanted coffees. She seated us and went away. Another girl came out with a wine list, dropped it on the table and went away. As it was a bit too sunny outside we decided to relocate inside, where we encountered the second girl again who seated us and we asked to see the drinks menu. A male waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order, which we said we just want coffee, to which he tersely replied that this was a restaurant and they don't serve coffee and we should go somewhere else. The look on his face suggested he was disgusted we had even asked. We left and went elsewhere, where we received excellent service. I would suggest they train their staff better and perhaps put a sign out front that suggest hot drinks are offensive to them. I will not be returning there again.

“Everyone should visit this venue in Mornington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

This place was initially a treat for my wife while on holiday, but if we lived local, would make it a regular occurrence. Menu was diverse and flavours of dishes we had were sooo tasty. Venue itself is fresh, clean and visually interesting and the building has history as the town Bank from years gone by. Will definitely visit again.

“Exceeded Expectations”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

My partner & I came to have a birthday dinner on Wed night. We don't usually eat at places with $40 mains, plus extra for sides, but as a birthday treat we thought why not? We both ordered the eye fillet, cooked perfectly to our liking. I even arranged a birthday surprise when dessert came out. The cooking time was slightly long, considering we were one of only two couples dining, but the meal was perfect, esp the potato rosti with the eye fillet. Thank you to the young girl who looked after us all night, very attentive.
