We had lunch at Soy yesterday. We did not have the Yum Cha but a banquet meal $29,50 each there where four of us in the group with drinks extra. This consisted of entree platter, chicken and sweet corn soup, two main meals, Fried Rice. Food was quite good but I think Chinese tea should have been included in the banquet this cost was extra, no prawn crackers given to us. The food was good but quite pricey, desert was extra, we had gourmet ice cream which was $7.50 a serve of two scoops and nothing else. It was also very noisy. The Green tea ice cream was very powdery and not nice.it needs acoustic ceiling tiles or something as when there are a lot of people it is more like a food court atmosphere than an expensive restaurant. I would say the food is better than the average chinese local restaurant but not that much better to warrant the prices charged, or the noise. I think it would be awhile before we go back again.
The other bad thing is the restaurant is upstairs with no other entry so disabled people cannot go there.
