A couple stayed overnight concluding that it is an average hotel. The room was large, quiet, very clean and decor attractive...although a few small problems...
The bed was advertised as a king size bed - but was actually 2 King single beds connected to make it appear King Size...not the best sleeping experience for a couple to have a giant split through the middle of the bed.
There where no bath robes in the room - when asking reception for bath robes we where given a confused "what are bath robes?" look and informed that they do not have bath robes in the hotel....hmmm not really a hotel then.
The split cycle air conditioner did work great and kept the room very warm.
When asking for recommended restaurants at reception the man did advise on "The Rocks" where we where very impressed by their food (still not forgiven for lack of bath robes)
Overall a quiet and simple "hotel" which given the lack of bath robes and actual king size beds cannot really call itself a hotel and justify the $200 per night price...
I never expected to find major city type hotels in Mornington but given the price they charge...simple hotel type things should be expected.More
