In stark contrast with the over-hyping of so many 'attractions' which turn out to be boring (and a rip-off), this Korumburra Park and Museum is grossly under-advertised, free to enter and with family-friendly prices in its delightful themed cafe. We went along with our son's family and everyone from the youngest to oldest had a great time. It's easy to get around the park and every feature has both historical integrity and a wow factor for the children (and adults). I couldn't be more complimentary of every aspect of our visit. If you're touring the Gippsland area, this is a 'must see'.

Great place to visit and very informative. Free entry a rare thing these days. Highly recommended for families. Make sure you get some duck food from the information centre as the ducks will greet you with enthusiasm

We more or less stumbled on this, not really knowing what to expect. What we found was a great historical village, artificially created but using real period buildings and mining artefacts removed from other locations. You can ride a train, feed the ducks, eat in the cafe, or buy souvenirs, but for me the best things were visiting all the buildings, especially the historic railway station and train, and talking with the knowledgable volunteers who can be found in many of the most interesting places.

This place would be fun and educational for any family who will take an interest, or any school class. Take a picnic, spend at least half a day, this is a hidden gem. Don't miss it. And it's free entry!

Coal Creek is good and have been a few times with the family, and it is a great little living museum full of rich history. It is enough to spend half a day there, and the volunteers are very friendly. Unfortunately, funding appears to be too little, and as such, it appears that the volunteers do a lot with a tiny budget, and it would be nice if they had the funds to give the place a good spit an polish to do little things like fix the upholstery on the train. We always give a donation, and recommend that all visitors do. We do not mind going to the cafe, even if just for a tea, as we always get great service, and know that the profit is going towards something good.

Free entry, friendly staff, unforgettable experience, what more could you ask for? Coal Creek Community Park and Museum is a great way to spend the day for anyone, young and old! Feeding the ducks, stopping by in the cafe and riding the train is a must. We mustn't forget the beautiful, old buildings as well, with elaborate displays of life in the 'olden days', and the countless amount of information available. The park also hosts many activities including a Halloween event (apple-bobbing, best dressed prizes, disco, lollies to collect, jumping castles) an Easter Egg Hunt, Ghost Tours and others which you are able to view on their website, which I have listed. If you are travelling in the area, it is definitely worth the stop at Coal Creek, you'll regret it if you don't!
