Checked out the pub and decided to stay for dinner, as we loved the Irish atmosphere. My husband ordered the seafood platter and I had 1/2 doz oysters natural which were very fresh and delicious! I ordered a steak with garlic butter and, while I was a bit apprehensive before it arrived, I was very happy to find it was extremely tasty and tender and cooked to perfection. After the main meal I thought I might like a dessert and chose the apple rhubarb crumble which again was delectable. The publicans Wendy and Bruce were very informative about the history of the hotel and very welcoming . I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting good quality fresh food in a charming atmosphere, beside a roaring log fire. Did not wait long for our order even though the place was starting to fill with patrons.
