The forecast was not looking good, and as we were up there for a birthday, we decided to stay locally for the night.
Tuck Inn is a play on words - you do feel like you are being 'tucked in' to beautiful clean accommodation with all the facilities; and in the morning you certainly get the opportunity to 'tuck in' to a hot and cold, anything you want, for breakfast. Thank you Diona for your gracious hospitality. We enjoyed our chat over breakfast. Booking verified after leaving a message, and easy directions made it easy to find. Great walk around the local shops before we left. Certainly recommend to everyone. Stella & Nick

Room Tip: We don't stay out often, so decided on the King Suite for a treat. Treated like family.

As a group of five couples, we spent the last Saturday night at the Tuck Inn and had a wonderful time. Donia was very warm and welcoming and made us all feel very much at home. The shared lounge space was perfect for us all to relax and chat, and the little touches everywhere were noted and appreciated, such as beautiful glassware, fresh water, foliage from the garden, tealights, magazines, and so on. Breakfast the next morning was also spot on. I don't know how Ozzy and Donia managed to make the respective coffees so quickly as well as remember all our names - the service was way better than any café - and the selection of cold choices and cooked breakfast was all one could want, and beautifully presented. We have stayed as a group at many places and this is with the top experiences to date; we will definitely stay here again.

Dear Reviewer,

THANK YOU so much for this review. Both Ozzie and I are both blown away by the comments and observations… thank you for that. Delighted that everyone enjoyed their time in the space we have created for our guests. The one thing Tuck Inn does lend itself to is the space for a group get-together so please do come back and enjoy it again when you next fancy time out.

Kind Regards,
Donia and Ozzie

We were in Healesville for the Picnic Races. The Tuck Inn was a perfect place for us to stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Donia and Ossie were extremely welcoming hosts and made us feel very much at home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Ossie served up a scrumptious breakfast. A well run B and B. I'd definitely recommend it!

Dear Anne-Marie,

And what a wonderful week-end (weather wise) it was for you at the Picnic Races. Thank you very much for this review – it really is appreciated. Ozzie is proud as punch that you enjoyed his brekkie so thank you for that mention.

Please come back and stay for the next Picnic Race or other event come to that! Until we see you again, Ozzie will keep churning out those free range eggs any style!

My fiance and I arranged a last minute trip to Yarra Valley and were lucky to get a Queen room at Tuck Inn it being the long weekend for Derby Day and we just wanted 1 night. Just on booking the room alone over the phone, Donia was extremely helpful with directions and on offering ideas on what we could do on our 2 day trip. We arrived at Tuck Inn late afternoon after a great day at Healesville Sanctuary and we were met by a bubbly and welcoming Donia. Our room was bright, airy and cool - just what we needed after a hot day at the zoo. Our tour of Tuck Inn instantly made us wish we'd booked in to stay longer - the communal living room was so beautifully arranged and set-up plus the garden looked like a great place to chill under the sun - if only we had the time! Our dinner plans were not too far at Innocent Bystander yet we got lost and thankfully Donia offered us her help yet again. Breakfast was delicious and filling, served inside or out in the garden - another glorious day meant we sat out under the sunshine. It's extremely peaceful at Tuck Inn despite only being around the corner from the town. After breakfast, we asked Donia to suggest some wineries on our way back to Melbourne - she is so resourceful and I would highly recommend simply asking Donia rather than scouring the internet. We had a jammed packed day visiting some amazing wineries (Soumah was our favourite) and seeing the sights as we drove around. A really wonderful trip that was made even better by the genuine kindess and extremely helpful information from Donia. I musn't forget to mention Ozzie and their little girl - you guys are the epitome of a well family-run hotel. Expect to see us back in Yarra Valley soon!

Room Tip: Definitely ask Donia for some suggestions on which winery to go to or where the best walks are - she...

We had a wedding to go to near by and were looking for a place to stay just for one night. We were having trouble finding a place as pretty much all accommodation places in the area had a two-night minimum stay requirement (as it was a Saturday night in the middle of Spring). We came across the Tuck Inn which looked gorgeous, probably out of our price range but we enquired anyway. We had an immediate response back and to our surprise they had absolutely no problem with us staying just for the one night and even better, the price was very reasonable!
Our stay was lovely, couldn't have asked for any more. Such a comfortable place and Donia and Ozzie are great hosts. The huge cooked breakfast and coffee in the morning (comes with your own newspaper) was delicious. Our "just need a place to stay" night turned into own little R&R weekend getaway. Thanks Donia and Ozzie!

we were just staying over night. Donia was there to greet us as a super friendly, incredibly informed, warm host. her suggestions for an evening meal were excellent and suggestions for winery visits also most helpful. room was spotlessly clean, well lit and airy. Breakfast in the common area was also great. Cant recommend too highly

Thanks a bunch for this review, it means so much to us at Tuck Inn. I knew the evening meal would hit the spot and thrilled it did!

Please do pop back again when you are venturing through the ‘ville from Perth, it would be great to see you both.

Hello Donia and Ozzie, Just a quick note to thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality last weekend.

Drew and I had a lovely time in Healesville and we really enjoyed our stay at Tuck Inn. The rooms had a lovely feel with plenty of natural light. The lounge room was spacious yet cosy and very inviting. It would have been nice to have an extra day to sink into a couch and devour all of your magazines – or perhaps a week to get through the coffee table books.

We hope that one day we will see you again, either on a 4wd track or back at Tuck Inn.

Thank you for this note – we really do appreciate it. It was all an absolute pleasure and really pleased to read how you enjoyed your time here at Tuck Inn! You have just reminded me to pop out and stock up on more magazines (love that job!!) so thank you.

Until our paths cross again…. On or off-road.
