This is one of our favourite breakfast and/or lunch venues. The food list is small but fabulous. We always have the Baked Eggs and the Fagioli (beans) for breakfast. The restaurant is tiny but has a really nice atmosphere with great owners and staff.

Hard to find if you don't know Healesville - small narrow café really adds to the atmosphere. Great coffee and breakfast dishes, my favourite is UOVA IN PADELLA (baked eggs+) Highly recommended

Stopped in for brunch on a busy Mother's Day while on holiday from Perth. Ordered chocolate croissant and Fagioli (homemade baked beans with goat's cheese and sourdough toast). Really fresh and delicious, the coffee was also top quality. Waitstaff and ex-Perthite owner all super friendly. If I lived in Healesville I would go to Essenza daily!

We sat down on Sunday at 10am with six people. Take want cleared for 15 minutes and when we asked to order we were told someone would be sent out. Went inside to get some menus and were again told someone would be out, they didn't want to just give us the menus. After convincing them to hand over some menus and waiting another fifteen minutes we tried to order at the counter and were again refused with a "someone will be sent out now". Suffice to say after waiting another couple of minutes we left. Shame, the leftover food that wasnt cleared from our table looked good. They may have been short staffed but in my view two people are enough to service the eight tables they have. This place is tiny.

It's a small narrow Italian feel café which adds to the coffee experience. The coffee menu is the usual variety but the exceptional service and yummy cakes really make this place. There is a lot of competition in town so standards need to be high and this place ticks all the boxes.
