“Excellent place to go to!”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

We went there last night and had some delicious pork medallions with vegetables and scalloped potatoes and a nice garlic bread as a starter. The service was great and the people there are very friendly. We also saw a kangaroo that decided to almost join us having dinner. Both of us really liked it there and we will most definitely come back again!

“Spectacular views and great atmosphere, with a local kangaroo dining right beside your window”
Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

Fantastic service from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. Spectacular views with a local kangaroo casually hopping up to the window to say hello. The meals are fantastic and I would definitely recommend the apple and raspberry crumble, it was to die for. My daughter and I really loved the whole experience, especially the kangaroo coming over to say hello. We will definitely be back when we are in town next. Thanks again Gavin it is a wonderful restaurant and bar.

“25th Anniversary mistake”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

We thought this was a no 1 restaurant, what a disappointment, Firstly the bread rolls with assortment of butters looked wonderful, until we bit into the soft bread rolls, getting harder by the second.
These were warmed using a microwave so by the time we bit into the final bread roll it was hard as a rock. With the wife’s main course, the meat was Bland looked and tasted like it had been boiled/microwaved pale no colour. My main course was the seafood spaghetti, with what looked like a pre-made sauce with tiny bits of seafood & prawns, with king prawns added, however I must say the spaghetti itself was great, “al dente”.

I think the chef must have been on holiday or something is out of the ordinary with this restaurant. We were not charged for the rolls, however there is no excuse for a top rated place to prepare meals in such a way.

We also had to pinch cutlery & serviettes off the next table because our cutlery was not replaced, It was not like they were overbusy.

“Very Welcoming”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

After having had an unpleasant dining experience in Halls Gap the previous evening, thought we would try" The Views", what a difference. From the minute I made an enquiry earlier in the day, to the greeting upon arrival and continued friendly service throughout the evening from the staff and management. Our meals were excellent, and luckily we only ordered a dessert to share, it was enormous and also delicious. Would definitely return.
