We just spent a weekend at The Grampians Motel and on checking in we were asked if we wanted dinner. We were told that it would be a good idea to book as there were only a couple of tables left. We got the impression that this was a popular restaurant and in high demand.
On entering the restaurant at the designated time we noted that there were a few spare tables and as the evening progressed more tables became vacant.
We ordered an entree which was nice, although with a trio of dips, it's hard to get it wrong.
Our mains were lamb cutlets and a plum pork cutlet.
On arriving at our table the lamb cutlets were lamb loin chops doused in a glutinous gravy and the plum pork cutlet was a pork chop with a bottled plum sauce poured over.
The vegetables accompanying the pork chop were microwaved cauliflour and broccoli with sliced carrots and worst of all were two "baked" potatoes which had been par boiled and then deep fried.
I strongly object to paying for a meal that is hugely overpriced for something I can cook at home with a great deal more flair.
Breakfast the following morning included "dirty" bacon which had been cooked on a hotplate that hadn't been adequately cleaned from the night before.
Overall an awful dining experience
