If you want a quiet serene setting in Halls Gap, this is the place to stay. The cabins/units are spacious, well set up with everything you need. The spa bath was great after a day's walking. There's BBQ facilities there and a fire bucket/brazier? there along with firewood if you want to sit around a fire at night. Our host were very friendly and helpful as were the kangaroos, rosellas, cockies.... Free wireless internet worked a treat. Really enjoyed it.

Room Tip: Any of units 1-5 have a great view.

Great accommodation. Amazing setting. Emu's, Roo's and parrots all outside your lodge. Will definitely stay here when next visiting the Grampians.

I saw all the good comments on tripadvisor so i decided to book a room at the valley lodge. I payed with my mastercard and I got an official confirmation letter for 2 nights. But then I saw on the confirmation letter that the room was for minimum 4 nights. So I send them an e-mail for some explanations. They told me that there was a mistake with the bookingform at there website and that the room was only availible for minimum of 3 nights! (so from 2 nights to 4 nights to 3 nights but 2 nights was not possible, what a good custumerservice) And that I would get a full refund. Liars !! They never payed back my booking fee. This was not my mistake why do I have to pay a booking fee ???? Also I send them another e-mail for the refund of my booking fee but they never respond. My advise book somewhere else, because you cannot trust them if they do something like this!!!!!

After experiencing the dirtiest cabin at the Takaru Bush Resort, Halls Gap, we checked ourselves out and found this beautiful place, the Valley Lodges just up the road. A very friendly greeting and one look at the units and we were sold! We didnt want to leave. The kangaroos and red deer come down to feed every evening and early morning. So do cockatoos, rosellas, blue wrens and parrots, right up to your door. The scenery is awesome, with the mountains the backdrop to this lovely place. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful reception centre here so you can be married and then have your guests stay on site. great place for star gazing too.
