BIG4 Mornington Peninsula Holiday Park

The caravan park is nothing extraordinary. Nice enough and clean facilities.
The reason why we were extra satisfied with this particular place was more down to the service. We arrived very late. the office was closed and we had no booking. We tried to call them anyway and they were kind enough to start their office up again and get us a powered site for our camper. Thank you for saving our night.

We are in a small camper so the quality of the toilets is important. The ladies loo was a bit of a mess to be frank, a mixture of not being cleaned often enough and some rather poor personal habits by some female guests.
Melbourne is about 65 minutes on the train from Franklin, which is about 10 minutes away on the bus, although there is only an hourly service at week ends. Public transport is very cheap.
Now the plus points, free, unlimited 4Mb Internet! Wow, amazing, the best we've had in Oz. The site was huge, the staff very very friendly and always helpful. And the blokes toilets were fine. If you don't go into Melbourne, Frankston is nice and has loads of shops and the hot spas near Rye are excellent

To many trees which makes the park cold but would be great in hot weather. Very close to all areas. Bathrooms are a bit old but great family bathroom for young children. Great for short stay to see around, wellington point, london bridge and dandenong ranges. Pool is closed apart from in hot weather where it is then heated, it needs it because it is a cold park. Poor childrens facilities. Some van sites are on to great a slope. We enjoyed our short stay there

Room Tip: All rooms look great, but van site needs to be chosen correctly

Close to the beach, 4 min drive, and wow, what a beach, and great park there too!
Caravan park is well designed, rec room a lovely place for the whole family...dad watched the footy, I played on my phone with the free wi-fi, kids colored in at table, or we all played table tennis, before I borrowed a book to read in the sun, whilst kids were playing on jumping castle.
Camp kitchen good, bathrooms fated, but very very spacious, and super clean.
A great place to stay to explore the Peninsula, Phillip Island, Frankston.

The only problem with the cabin was the heating was not up to standard
needs to have a better system put in for winter time
maybe the staff could turn on the heater before the guests arrive to take that chill off would be a nice thing to walk into a warm cabin Just a nice touch would mean a lot for us oldies
other than that was very clean and loved the choc bickys with a cup of tea

Room Tip: cabins good

The facility's are very clean but bit cold in winter, and when ur in a busting gut hurry to the toilet and u forget to grab ur key well not so good, staff are very friendly and they help u as much as they can, kids loved it the play grounds.. Alls they need is raised concrete slabs so the rain doesn't swamp to ur annexe

It was very nice and the deluxe cabin was well set out and very clean. The staff were really friendly and the service was great. I have never been to a park where they leave a packet of biscuits for your much needed cuppa, it is an awesome idea. Keep up the great work. Very handy to the Frankston beaches and shops, and also well signposted.

Room Tip: The Deluxe cabin was tucked in behind the house which minimised the noise, no complaints at all
