The room was very clean and comfortable and I liked the little touches like the fluorescent light over the mirror in the bathroom and a very clean and silky shower curtain. The people who ran the motel were very accommodating.

I stayed over night with 3 family members in 2 rooms. We found the owners very friendly and our rooms very clean. Not as modern as 4 or 5 star hotels, but over all a great place to stay. If travelling long hours or visiting the locals, we will be stopping there in the future.

Stayed 2 nights in July. Went to Dimboola for a family reunion. The room was basic in its facilities but was clean. The bathroom was cold & a notice on the wall informed guests there were limited hours for hot water. The Motel advertized breakfast but recommended we eat in town which we did so I can't comment on the quality or range of the breakfast available. Overall the accommodation was acceptable with few options available in this small country town.

I recently travelled to Dimboola for a family reunion and stayed 3 nights at the Dimboola Motel. I have stayed there many times as Dimboola is the town my great grandparents called home and I still have family there. I was born in Jeparit. I have always enjoyed my stays at the motel. There is now a coffee shop in Dimboola which is called Mason Clarke Preserving Co, unusual name but delicous coffee and cakes. So the next time you are driving along the Western Highway take a detour and try it out.

A recent trip to Dimboola to attend my fathers funeral meant an overnight stay and whilst the rooms were clean and there was lovely crisp linen and white fluffy towells, there was nothing fluffy about the phone call at 10am asking us to leave as they had another funeral that day and people needed the room. There were only two other travellers staying at the motel that I could see and one of them was from our family. Surely they had enough rooms even if ours wasnt ready?? I wont be going back.

We stopped off in Dimboola en route to Melbourne, tired out after a days driving. What a strange place. Wide wide streets with nothing in them. The remains of a burnt down Hotel, lots of empty shops and nobody about. A place that had, at one time, been something. I loved it though, eerie & spooky it may be, but very engaging. We got to the chippy at 7.00pm just before it closed, the one remaining hotel not serving food the day we arrived and there was nowhere else.
We were about to drive on, when as we drove out of town, the Dimboola Hotel loomed up. The lady was very chatty and friendly and gave us a good deal. We ate our chips by the clean pool and retired. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable, a mirror of the whole Motel. Obviously someone really cared about this place.
Our stay was only slightly marred when as we were about to leave we recieved a very gruff call from the owner, not the freindly lady, demanding to know when we were leaving. Perhaps a 'good morning ' first would have been nice.

Doing the round trip from Adelaide to Melbourne we broke the trip each way. On the way out we stayed in Horsham and, although the motel was fine and the staff friendly there was no escaping the truck noise overnight. Nothing could be further from the case on our return where we stopped slightly off the Wester. highway at the Dimboole Motel. Oh quiets very friendly staff decent pool to cool off in and good cooking & BBQ facilities. An additional plus was that the family room had a seperate room for the kids. This is definitely going to be our stop off point for future trips
