We could not have had a better stay. Perfect option for staying in the suburbs and escaping the city. Sipping an early morning coffee on the patio, listening to the birds instead of traffic and sirens. What could be better?

Villa has all the amenities one could want; you feel at home as soon as you walk in the front door of your villa. Lisa and Kees were wonderful hosts.

Location is great; Croydon Metro light rail station is a 15-20 minute walk away. 5 mins by car if you wish to pay for parking. Croydon is a bit of a distance to CBD (30-mins by rail), but a very small sacrifice for the quiet location. Close to Mt. Dandenong and western Alps. Shopping in Croydon centre and nearby Chirnside Park.

One helpful improvement would be the signage at the road at nighttime; even when you've been in and out repeatedly throughout the day, the driveway entrance can easily be missed in the dark on a relatively busy Dorset Road. Be sure when you first arrive it is during daytime.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2BR Kaori Villa. We'd choose it again.

We were looking for somewhere to stay outside of the city of Melbourne with a tick list of essentials such as laundry facilities, wifi and BBQ, outside area etc etc and with there only being the two of us, somewhere reasonably priced. The small 1 bed villa is just perfect, and fitted the bill completely. We have been here 1 week and visited the local wine regions, down to the coast (Philip Island) and by train into the city. We are from Europe so have found the cost of living in Australia quite expensive by comparison, but with the small private garden, have enjoyed BBQs every evening.
There is almost all that you would need in the kitchen (maybe a jug and some serving dishes/salad bowls) would complete the extensive range of cooking equipment.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Room Tip: The one bed villa is quite close to the main road frontage which can be quite busy at peak traffic t...

Spacious' well equipped and comfortable. Each villa was very private, with lovely gardens and a patio. Excellent hosts. Convenient location to visit both the mountains and melbourne- the train is a mile away and took only 40_50 mins to get to city centre. The yarra mountains take only 40 mins drive and the dandenongs are 20 mins away - so Bungunyah is perfectly placed. Local restaurants are very limited so it is best to drive further away than can oydon itself. The town of Warburton at the beginning of the yarra range is charming - go to the visitor centre and see the lovely art work on display. The town itself is much less developed than healsville but still has plenty to roam.
Overall I thoroughly recommend bungunyah.

Room Tip: All villas looked great but ours - no 4 kaori - was further from the main road.

We enjoyed a weekend stay and couldn't have been more pleased. The accommodation was quiet, clean, well furnished, surrounded by beautiful gardens and the owners were welcoming and very accommodating. Great location to tour local attractions. Certainly was a home away from home.

Units ideally placed for access to the Dandenongs and trains to city centre, easy off-street parking. Modern private individual units, well fitted with everything you could think of using (kitchen, laundry, includes dishwasher, dryer, wifi, TV with DVD player complete with supplied library of DVD's and books etc etc.). Very comfortable bed, good shower, well-kept grounds with private back garden, lovely to hear birds every morning. Access onto Dorset Road could be awkward during commuter hours, sound of train horns starts early but no issue for us (or for the birds !). Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Best units further up driveway (away from Dorset Road)
