The Apartments are part of the Novotel Hotel which gives you the use of all the facilities the hotel has to offer swimming pool / tennis / bike riding and walking tracks around the golf course you can go for walks around the course and check out the old chinese mines but be very careful when walking around some mines are very deep and hard to see.
We stayed in Villa 16 and found it very clean and comfortable one queen bed and two single beds both rooms had showers and seperate baths.
if you dont have an A club membership i would reccommend you sign up for one as you can use in the restaurant for meal discounts.
will come back again.

This property is part of the Novotel Hotel in Creswick.
We stayed here exchanging a week of timeshare. Found the room layout very strange and too small for the 4 of us (had to ask the hotel for an extra armchair !). living area, kitchen is on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The bedrooms were great with heaps of room, very nice bathroom and even a spa in the room itself.
Most time indoors was spent sitting around the dining table as this was the only area where 4 people could be seated . If you are a party of 6, it will be very tight squeeze !! Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most meals using the fresh produce sourced locally while sightseeing during the day.
Location is excellent and we spent all day wandering the countryside - few trips to Daylesford , Ballarat , Clunes, Castlemaine etc.
Stay here if you need a central location to see the region but not if you want a resort to just 'chill' and laze around indoors.

Room Tip: Only a very small number of apartments in the resort - try and get ones that back onto the golf driving range area rather than the main road.

Dear Iluv2travel,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review after your stay at Grand Mercure Forest Resort. We are delighted to read that you had a good holiday exploring this wonderful area of Victoria. There's nothing better than picking up local produce for dinner that evening. Its good to hear that the hotel were able to provide you with an extra armchair to make your stay more comfortable. All feedback is extremely important to us as it greatly assists with the constant monitoring of quality and service. Again thank you for taking the time to post your review.

We stayed there with 3 other couples for a golf weekend. Found the rooms to be fantastic. Comfy beds and great showers.
Had dinner in the restaurant, found to be overpriced and food average but service great.
Will defiantly come back again!

Visited late March 2012 using Accor club membership. Very well presented apartment and ready on time. Friendly service from Novotel hotel where keys are kept. Everything worked apart from the small bedroom TV's but we were told all new TV's would be fitted during the week we were there. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected due to commitments in Melbourne. Spa baths and heating worked well. Creswick was interesting - had dinner one night in the American Hotel there. The Forest walk is good. Daylesford is only about 15 mins away and Ballarat even closer. The Hotel complex is centred around the golf course which appeared to be well managed and popular.Would say the main living area downstairs was fine for 2 people or 2 + 2 kids but a bit cramped for 4 adults. Furtniture re-arrangement and moving the gas fire would help.

Room Tip: All apartments appear to be the same - duplex units
