Owner description: Clunes Museum is accredited by the Museums Association Australia (Vic). The Museum is housed in the former warehouse (c.1860) of contractors Nicholl and Wallace and was redeveloped in 2014 so the museum could expand into modern exhibition areas and work spaces.

We stopped into Clunes while visiting the Ballarat area. Just like the museum, there are a few more old buildings to see if you like history. The museum was no longer open from what we could see, but many of the old shops are only open on the week ends.

Museums should really reflect the who past of a town my experiences in a cafe in Clunes took me back to the 1960s . Great to see shovels and spades lets get really Historical . I went to Clunes to see the place of a great Australian Bush Poet .
