So enjoyed my afternoon on the rooftop bar and pool today. Excellent view above Double Bay, friendly and very engaged barkeeper from the Caribbean Sea, beautiful club sandwich with smooth grilled chicken, amazingly the Sauvignon Blanc with it. The cappuccino was delicious. Next week I will come and celebrate my birthday here.

Summertime Parties at Roof top Pool a must. Cocktails and view fantastic and dress standard is high.
Beautiful interior of hotel lobby and fabulous service in bar and restaurant. Nothing is a problem, concierge will do their best to help with everything. Recently my young daughter was sick and they went to chemist and got us some panadol.

Room Tip: Ask for 3rd 4th or 5th floor with Bay views

We stayed at the intercontinental for a total of 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Being that we were there for a wedding, the amount of time we spent in the hotel was minimal. Having said that the staff were extremely helpful from the concierge, reservation, room service through to the maintenance staff. The location of the hotel is certainly second to none. Double Bay feels like a little village with all the shops and restaurants in close proximity.
We did have a small problem with the operation of the air conditioner as the circuit breaker tripped twice, however this was promptly repaired while we were out for dinner.
Another positive is the shops, specifically the hairdresser located on the ground floor my wife needed "to get her hair done" whatever that means, and the hairdresser was extremely accommodating.
The only disappointment we had was going up to the pool area hour before we checked out, would have very much like to have spend an afternoon up there swimming, taking in the view and having a few glasses of wine.
We would certainly visit the intercontinental again, and question whether we would stay in the CBD as Double Bay is such a nice area.

Room Tip: We had a room looking out over a section of Sydney Harbour was extremely peaceful

Can't wait to go back to Sydney and stay again. Everything was top notch from service to rooms, couldn't fault a thing. Love love the roof top. The area double is beautiful and a nice place to stay if you want to be close to the city but not directly in the hassle and bustle.

Had a great time at your hotel! The brunch was suburb already before we started eating. We're welcomed with a nice glas of champain, not too sparkling and dry, just great to start our family weekend with! We booked the buffet, omw!! Large offering of seafood, breads and pastries. Oysters, langoustines, antipasti!! Besides we could also go for freshly made crepes, just wonderfulL!! My husband, who loves fastfood, was completely satisfied with the available hotdogs in the buffet!
For me personally the dessert was the best moment of the brunch! Lovely easter cupcakes and bunnies, and loads of chocolate... what does else does a woman wish for?
Thanks to the staff we had a great stay. Our special thanks go to Kelvin and Victor! Well done!
