We stayed over the Australia day longweekend and found the Hotel to be just satisfactory .
The bath room was impossibly small (you had to put your head in the wash basin to use the toilet) and a little grubby . On one day we had no towels and had to dress and ask at the desk as reception did not answer the phone . The iron in the room leaked and did not heat up . Frustrating when you are preparing to go out.
The advertised Australia day "gourmet breakfast "turned out to be watery ham frozen hard boiled eggs white toast and weak coffee .
The decor is very old and faded (not antique ,rather 1930,s depression period) and the whole place is in need of a face lift and restaffing with trained hospitality staff. The price we payed $228 is just not justified by the level of comfort ,ammenity and service offeredMore
