Attended a Sunday wedding decided we would stay the night ,We were upgraded to a partial harbour room.Great room ,could of spent the whole time watching the boats cruise by from my balcony. What a hectic day ,the hotel was packed ,staff were run off their feet ,they did a great job ,they should be congratulated.
I live in Sydney and I am thinking of using this place as a launching pad to explore our beautiful city.
One day is never enough.

We live in Sydney and I organised a weekend stay at Watsons Bay Hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hotel benefits greatly from its location. There are lots to do especially if you like walking and exploring. There are historical and scenic areas to explore - Watsons Bay, The Gap, South Head, Camp Cove to name a few. There is also a nice park, a clean beach and a sea pool near the hotel. The hotel is perfectly located to explore Sydney city too, as you can jump on the ferry that leaves regularly from the wharf just in front of the hotel.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. We were in the Harbour View King Suite on the 1st floor. We were quite worried about the noise from the pub below, but found that it wasn't noisy at all. The layout of the room is not the greatest as you can't watch tv from the bed. But once we got over this, other elements are quite nice. The polished limestone bathroom provides a sense of luxury. The balconette offers a stunning view of the harbour. The hotel pub has charming beach theme and has amazing views of the harbour.

Room Tip: Room 108 Harbour View King Suite has a balcony with fantastic views of the harbour and Sydney skylin...

I recently returned to this beautiful venue after having visited many years ago but had not known about the Hotel Accomodation available. I was immediately welcomed by a lovely girl at the front desk and her helpful and kind attitude was echoed by all other staff members I encountered. I had requested a standard room and wasn't fussed with having a balcony- the room was lovely and absolutely great value with a beautiful overlook of the park. Breakfast was a treat in the newly renovated Sunset Room- you never tire of looking at that breathtaking view with a coffee and croissant! I cant wait to come back and stay again soon and highly recommend it to all!!

We stayed here recently wanting a short break away from home and some time to unwind.
Everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. The room was HUGE and the marble bathrooms devine. Beautiful bathtub with views over the park was thoroughly enjoyed with a bottle of wine from the bottleshop downstairs.
The food at the Beach Club was fresh and tasty. We tried the barra and a sirlion, both were delicious and we also enjoyed a perfectly brewed mulled cider. We took the ferry into the city, such a nice way to travel around! The hotel had bikes that we took out along The Gap path. The views there were spectacular! We also borrowed some fishing rods and tried our luck at catching dinner. Despite our lack of success we enjoyed the experience and it was such a nice touch for the hotel to offer this.
We'll definitely be back again soon.

Room Tip: Definitely worth splurging on the harbour front rooms! The view is simply amazing!

Every year we go to stay here. it changed owners last October so we were a bit surprised .
of course the beautiful view is the same ,also the South Head walk is still there which is the absolute "must" do whatever the weather brings. The Gap views and Gelato shop across the park are worth a visit too. I recently went to Dunbar House which is a good alternate place to have lunch in gorgeous surroundings. It is a two storey home across the park, about 120metres away.
The staff has changed and the menu too,but still wonderful.
The front rooms are naturally the best ever, while the side ones have their own character and view.
It doesn't really matter what floor you get .The loft room would be handy if you had children with you. The end room on the right has a good size balcony to entertain friends.
Take a relaxing walk along the promenade and breathe in the healthy sea air. There's lots to do
Have a jug of Sangria.or an Italian cocktail,Bellini at the bar or sit in the beer garden.
Weekends are too crowded so weekdays are the best.

Room Tip: any Front room with views of Sydney.

I went with a large group for an early mother's day. Food was really poor. The menu sounds great, but everybody at the table said they were disappointed with their meal. I took my steak back it was so bad. They agreed to give me another meal, I chose the salmon, which was a bit better but extremely overcooked. Not sure who is in the kitchen there, but they have no idea.

Go there for beers and cheese plate, the position is great, but give the food a big miss.
