We went there for my birthday. Loved the Pate starter. The beer menu was great - favourite beers plus other new beers to try and enjoy. Main courses were generous, tasty and delicious. Staff and owner were friendly, helpful.

Visited here last night with some friends. This is a small 'hole in the wall' slightly out of the way (from the main restaurants in St Leonards and Crows Nest) Czechoslovakian Beer Cafe. I think most of us are familiar with the Belgian and Bavarian Beer Cafes, but this one is slightly different. If, like us, you have never been to Czechoslovakia, you will not have heard of any of the beers on the menu, but they are well worth a try, I particularly liked the Pilsner Urquell and the Budějovický budvar premium. The decor is quite minimal and it didn't have the atmosphere of the bigger beer cafes but the service was great.
However, although this is a beer cafe, it is all about the food!
If you like schnitzel of any variation, pork belly, pork knuckle, monstrous burgers, gorgeous pretzels, goulash, i.e. hearty wholesome, large European food, then this is the place for you.
We had the 'pork bites' entree with arancini balls, fried zuchinni flowers and pretzels between us and they were all first class. Then for mains we all had schnitzels of varying types...all delicious. The Hunter Chicken schnitzel is enormous, especially for $22 including chips/mash and salad.
I must say that the girls ordered creme brûlée which looked sensational but were very 'gluggy'. My wife is a chef and she said they used too many eggs and too much cream...they should have had the crepes!
It was a Wednesday night and relatively quiet, but it is a great little spot. There is free parking right outside after 6.30pm and we will certainly be back. Our 12 year old boy said it was his best schnitzel ever, Mum's excluded of course!

We went in for an early dinner on my birthday and it was perfect. The staff were lovely and the food fantastic. Beer and wine list was of course great as well.
We had the pate, arancini and port belly. All really well cooked and good size even though they were the tapa size. Prices very good as well.
Will definitely be back.

Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night. Had the Hunter Schnitzel at $14.95 and a couple of very good Czech beers. Great value, will definitely be back.
