In this day and age how hard is it for a chef even a 'Moody' one to put together a vegeterian salad! They advertised a roast vegetable and chicken salad... I said i was vegeterian could i have the salad without the chicken and cheese. I got a small bowl of lettuce, about one tablespoon of diced tomato, six 'moons' of cucumber (no seeds basically peel) some grated carrot, a sprinkle of onion and a drizzle of dressing! $15 for the pleasure... No roast vegies, avocado, nuts... Hopeless!!

I always come every weekend and have my breakfast + coffee. Without a doubt, they have the best eggs benedict and skim lattes that Sydney has to offer!

The restaurant is family friendly, the arty decor can inspire a homely feel.

The only downside is the waitress tends to not notice us every weekend when we come over. She looks tired and it seems like she doesn't want to serve us... but everything else is just perfect!!!!!

Really friendly staff and chef, nice relaxed atmosphere and the food is great. Also - love the comfy chairs which are a nice break from those awful metal cafe chairs most places have.

It could have been any big city in the world but this St. Leonards restaurant (a little bit north of Sydney) has its own local charm. A weekday lunch in any business community is going to require rapid service and sometimes things get forgotten. In this case, they had to be asked twice for the bill. But hey, if that's all that's wrong with a restaurant, they're doing something right.

As a vegetarian, I often have to 'settle' for whatever's available in a predominantly business orientated restaurant. Not so here. Chickpea fritters would you believe, and quite delicious. Wine was great, service was great, Ozzie charm was oozing. Frankly, I'd even hop on a train from Sydney just to eat here (station is a few hundred yards away).
