This well maintained Park on Lilyfield Road, down behind Victoria Road was been built on reclaimed wetlands last century, as was the practice in those unenlightened times. However, the park is now a pleasant environment bounded by large shady trees. This is where on weekends you will find young people's football matches in the Winter and cricket in the Summer. Football training at night is always fun to watch. Under the trees local families love to have picnics. With easy access and parking, you will often see picnics and birthday parties spilling out of the boots of the cars parked there. Alongside of the Park is a well thought through children's playground and it always seems to be being used by young families. During the downtime, like each evening, you will see the gathering of dog owners walking and exercising their pets. This is an unleashed area for dogs. Across the road is a general corner shop where refreshments, consumables like bottles of milk, the paper and bread can be purchased. It is just a short walk to Rozelle shopping CBD and to Victoria Road. There are clean Council maintained toilets on the site. There are two pubs close by for the forgotten bottle of wine for the picnic.
