We strolled in on New Years Eve at 7.45pm without a reservation and where greeted and seated while a table was set for us. Obviously a very busy night in Newport where much to our surprise many of the restaurants where closed, However we were made to feel welcome even though the restaurant was very busy.We ordered the Penang Duck Curry and the Stir fried Shrimp with Thai Basil. Both were of good quality and generous servings in particular the duck which was packed with meat and Lychees. Quite the nicest duck curry we had ever tasted. The stir fry Shrimp had a good amount of shrimp and enough vegetables for our taste. The meals came with a generous serving of steamed rice. I had a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had Jasmine tea. The bill came to $58 and we were out in time to see the fireworks off Pittwater at nine o'clock. The young male cashier was very helpful and pointed us to the best vantage point to see the fireworks as we left.
We are from New Zealand so will be recommending this restaurant to our Australian friends who live in the vicinity.
