The zoo itself was excellent, a fabulous location and easy to get around. It was really busy the day we were there so we didn't end up seeing any of the shows, but the baby elephants put on their own show playing in the water together which was fantastic.
I was very disappointed with the transport arrangements to get over to the zoo though - we booked at one of the little kiosks outside the train station, and were given vouchers for the eco-hopper ferry, but then had to queue up again for ages at the entry to the ferry to exchange the vouchers for tickets - it was confusing and time consuming and there were many others in line that were saying the same as us - no one was really sure where they should go or what they should do.
We also had to wait over an hour for a return ferry which should have been there every 20 minutes - the guys on the ferry said it was just because it was busy, but surely this would be the same every Xmas period and they should be more prepared for it. Overall disappointing, but the zoo was very enjoyable.
