About 15 years ago, I went to the Sydney Zoo featuring an enclosed area holding two families of Gorillas. I witnessed a male from one family grab an infant from the other family and repeatedly smash its head against a tree to kill it. I complained to the head office of the zoo and they were very condescending. They said that the apes would do the same thing in their natural environment. Since the Sydney Zoo took them out of their natural environment and put them in a caged area, I think the Sydney Zoo has the duty to protect them from harm. Its been over 15 years but I will never forget my experience with the Sydney Zoo.
