It's a cheap pathetic hostel for the price of a regular hotel. Walking disance from the domestic airport, but not from the international. Free shuttle service? Forget it. Better have a drink at a lovely bar at the Holiday Inn nearby.

The hotel is very handy to Sydney's domestic terminals - just perfect after arriving at the end of the day or for an early start in the morning. Online booking was easy and check in was a breeze. The room was just a little small, but adequate - good bed, TV to catch up with what was happening in Sydney and the bathroom, although small, was sufficient for our needs. Nearby are fast food restaurants for a quick meal. All round it is a value for money, easy place to stay.

Walking into the hotel lobby I noticed the welcome sign had missing letters which immediately said to me this place was suffering from neglect. Once we got up to our room , it didn't get any better. The room had 1 window which didn't open, the room smelt bad and EVERYTHING was covered in a thick layer of dust. There didn't seem to be any room service but the hotel does have vending machines and coffee on the ground floor. We were only there for one night as we were flying out to Thailand the next morning. At 3sm we were woken to the sound of a fire alarm. We were on the 4th floor and were the first to exit the building. When we were in the floors hallway, many people were confused, some elderly people even asked if it was a fire alarm and if they had to evacuate. The fire exits were initially difficult to find. Once we got out side we were amazed to find we were the only ones to have evacuated the building given that we were almost on the top floor. Eventually once the fire department arrived they said on the PA system that it was a false alarm due to someone showering with the door open.

If it had of been a real fire, many lives could have been lost to human stupidity. People in the building were just standing at the windows looking instead of evacuating.

Room Tip: Only use this hotel if you need a quick place to stay before leaving the airport

We paid $170.00 for a night in this hole of a hotel with small rooms and a tiny crammed shower that was nothing more than a shower curtain in the bathroom, that had nowhere to even put your toiletries. Others have said it was value for money but there is no value here. You just get stuck here if your flight is cancelled. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else!

I stayed here for one night before Christmas because of an early morning flight, but wished i had slept in the airport instead! The rooms are tiny, incredibly basic (not even tea/coffee facilities) and the ensuite feels more like you have stepped into a broom cupboard. The hotel was hot, noisy and staff were surly and unhelpful. I would never stay in a Formule 1 hotel again, not even if you paid me.

We stayed here for one night in November 2012 as we had an early morning flight to catch the following day. Whist the hotel is cheap and cheerful it was clean, no noise from other rooms. The reception staff were very helpful and provide a shuttle bus to the airport for a small fee. There are fast food restaurants 2 minutes awaty which are great for the one night we needed to stay there. Overall a very good hotel - better service than some '4 star' hotels we also stayed in our trip!

We chose this hotel because we stayed in F1 in Melbourne, and it was awesome. But here we had problems with our keycards, there is no fridge in the room. The room is really small. It's far from everywhere, the tv is placed in a position that we can not watch properly due to the bed right in front of it. There is no cold water in the bathroom tap. You kinda flood the bathroom when you take a shower.
